Yes, it's Kazakh. The language is of Turkic family, (close to Turkish) nothing common with Chinese, except that China is Kazakhstan's neighbour country on east.
It was live, just he had his own voice backtrack, but in the end like high notes its live. So you can say 80% for sure he sang live.
He sang live the whole time, the backtrack was just way too loud sometimes. But its clear he wasnt even trying to lipsync bc the vocals overlapped

When I said that he is never lip sync not because I am biased but I have two reasons to believe so. Firstly, I have watched many vocal and singers reactors from USA to many countries in Europe tried to analyze Dimash and seeing whether he is lip sync or not, and none of them can confirm otherwise because they can watch the lip and mouth shape whether it matches the sound he made or not. All of them confirmed that he is unparalleled - to put it simply . Secondly, I have watched many of his practicing for any performance he has to perform even for one song , like at Miss World 2018 , where he sang “ Unforgettable Day”,Screaming Idol hit , his music video of this song, even when he had to perform “ Olimpico “ at the opening of second European Olympic Game at Minsk in 2019, just to name a few. It’s not on his channel but various fancams.Even at New Wave 2019 , he practiced a lot. And it’s fun to watch him . To be he is just a boy . I can go on for many performances he had done. I just wanted to give credit where it’s due, not taking sides. I respect other people opinion but I can logically, sensibly come to my own conclusion and there is no hard feelings for whatever been said in various comments. You should watch various videos of pre performance of Dimash, if you find any , it’s not only fun but you will see how much effort he undertakes to perform , even for one song! “ Olimpico “ he practiced twice in the afternoon and night a day before the opening of the Game. But before the opening ceremony he looked calm and still chatting and singing the song that other people are singing before he was escorted to go up to the arch podium. Sorry to write so lengthy but do you know that Dimash never “ hang out “ before his performance because he is always in his hotel room watching his previous performance, if any , and he is very critical of himself. But if it is a new song then he will keep on practicing, so he never goes out to places like his musicians, his parents and siblings , etc. Now you may ask how I knew this because I like watch various interviews and off stage performance , etc . I hope that you would not mind reading long comment. 😘

The upper line is in the language he's singing.
The lower line has the translation to Chinese.
In the rap part, the upper line is in Chinese.
I deduce he's rapping in Chinese, not Kazakh.
@@gustavoballan973 The subtitles for the song lyrics and the subtitles for the rap were made separately, and don't follow the pattern. Besides, it would be hypocritical to sing about your mother tongue in a different language.

Singing rapping and putting on a good show, is there anything Dimash can't do. Henri was feeling this song. The crowd at the fashion show was too polite, but vocal performance was better than the 1st video, I think he sang the high notes live.

And I´m sure those women on the stage were in a very unusual situation for them: Usually they´re the one to amaze men who ask them out, but here they were the ones who wanted to go out with Dimash. :D
What he has done in a few venues prior to this is prerecorded the backtracking so that on stsge he is singing and then his own voice pre recorded is his backup.
Chinese TV mixed the audio track of the MV over the video, so we don't hear what the crowd at the fashion show got to hear. The song was arranged to accomodate for that. You can clearly hear the switch in tone quality from his first couple of notes taken from the live audio to the actual song.
Fangirling a little bit :-D I really love this side of Dimash, he can really transform to any character according to the song he's singing. This song is the ending song of the Arnau concert, he improvises and makes a fun and exciting end to the concert! The rap part is in Kazakh, not Chinese. In the second video, there are so many beautiful women on the stage but he still draws all the attention :-)
There’ was a portion that have playback but he sings live. There was a clip of him in rehearsal where he had been playful.

Playbacks were only the backups sections. Now Dimash can't be singing BOTH the overlapping backups AND main parts ALL AT THE SAME TIME right? Any other singers in the world can? But the main parts were 100% LIVE RECORDED.
True....but it's only practical to use playbacks on backups for this song.....because the backups and main parts are overlapping and no way any singers on this planet can do BOTH overlapping parts LIVE at the same time.

I live this! His english is improving over time. Love the way he interacts with audience, very smart. One of the things I really love about him is that it is obvious that he has such joy in the music and in his own vocal accomplishment and that joy translates to us. I loved this song before and he adds such depth to it! Love it love it love it!!!!!
Not the first time I’ve heard the song, but the first time I’ve seen the rap portion not being cut. Love when he improvises - especially over his own recorded vocals. Dimash still seems awkward in his stage movements in these clips.

Dimash has always been adamant about not lip syncing when his fans pay to hear him sing live. But recently he has explained that in some rare occasions, such as this one, he has been told to lip sync for the program. He is so honest in wanting to give his fans their money's worth. I love both versions of this song. I’m not sure if you have watched the Screaming official music video but this is how it sounded in it. The last performance the fashion week version. It is not a lip singing , it is a back vocal part that he prerecorded ..... there is a fan video when he was recording this back vocal! And a funny rehearsal vid as well! Congrats!
So why does it sound exactly the same as his music video? I have also seen Dimash perform the exact SOS Slavic Bazaar audio for another performance for his president I believe. Yes, it was the same. I know because it was exactly the same and because Dimash never sings the same song the same way. That's a double confirmation. Maybe the producers' demands, probably.

Playbacks were only the backup sections......now Dimash can't be singing overlapping backups and his own main part at the same time LIVE right?
Dear Sabina-- definitely he is singing but had his song played back as well because he can’t sing two parts at one time like in music video. So in the performance he did the whistle and staccatos as in his music video. He had similar performance in Universal Show in China. It’s the same show you had reacted his song “ let it be” translated from his Kazakh into Mandarin. You should react to his another two songs plus a short one with one of American lady who sat on that table. She is a lovely lady and wanted to sing with Dimash . It’s fun to watch , believe me. By the way Dimash never lip sync but to have his music played back when he had to sing different part, that is understandable. May I suggest that you should react to his “ autumn strong “ at his Kiev, Ukraine Arnau concert this year on March 11. Take care 💕

The rap is in Kazakh . He is not fluent in Chinese despite being amazing in everything he does , the rap is in Kazakh to his fellow countrymen . Quite important to know that it’s a tribute to his fellow Kazakh speakers, to renaissance men . Love Dimash.
