This 8 year old video clip was a gift to me on February 22nd. It’s like a North Star revelation. So grateful

Leaving the space for our God to work, not crowding Him out by our limited thinking and experience. I LOVE the concept. Thanks Shawn.

It's good that Shawn is saying that he can't be the one telling her what to do. At the same time, God calls us, as brothers and sisters, to spur each other and keep each other accountable. careful balance is critical

Raliate86, the goal of our instruction is love. Love covers a multitude of sins. Mercy triumphs over judgement. It is the goodness of God leads men to repentance. We love Him because He first loved us.

Bam! My wife Amy Webb was just saying that to many Christians try being the Holy Spirit in people's lives. Mercy, justice and the LOVE of God win everytime!

That's a good word! If we are submitted to the Holy Spirit, He is the One Who brings us into all truth -- the truth that brings freedom, and relationship with God, with others, and ourselves. Rule-based religious judgement only brings condemnation. It is not about condoning sin; it's about giving people the freedom to walk in the love of God, Who alone will make their walk real. Religion for the sake of man made rules, or rules for the sake of man made religion, is worthless.

I like what is said, in that we all need to know what GOD is saying to us individually abd not what man is saying. Not man's rules but GOD's love and grace.

Not sure it was best how he used her livelihood to counterweight whether she should be held accountable. The only reason why I'm "not so sure" is because a) it brights to light that the church organization may need to set aside some resources to help people who might actually need temporary financial help breaking out of a pattern, and b) he minimized the seriousness of stripping. Fortunately, they were all TOTALLY in the right spirit and heart, and God swept in and saved the day!!!

This is rubbish he said about love and rules ,if we love people we should have the courage to say what is right or wrong and it does not mean they will hate us or God .they may not like it but if they are sincerly wanting to knowGod they will accept it CHRIST IANS TOLD ME THINGS AND I ACCEPTED IT

michelle staunton i don't think its rubbish. If i had a pastor approach me with this love process then i wouldn't have suffered from the religious judgment of people in leadership for 8 years, which God had to heal. I see so much love in Shawn's guidance.

If I had to choose a personal human pastor, Shawn would be the one... and it's been that way every since they planted E58 in Hollywood many years ago.

The only way to get rid of the darkness is to tun on the light! The light is Jesus Christ John 14:6 @walkintheway

This is NOT Biblical. How can we as Christians in the faith not reprove darkness and shine light on ALL sin (Ephesians 5 - entire chapter). Stripping is nothing but perversion, lust, sexual immorality and degrading to the young women.
We can not say in the name of love that you would allow her to continue to strip for the next 6 months. If Jesus Christ came back within that time, she would not be saved, because she was not living as a child of God! Scary, but true, The Lord loves those that he corrects/rebukes (Hebrews 12:6)
Romans 1:32 tells us that if we even agree or condone sinful behavior, that we are just as guilty as the person actually doing it.
When I say to a wicked person, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood.

We are not saved by our own works. We are saved through a relationship with God (John 17:3). He did not condone her activities, but led her into a closer relationship with Jesus, and out of that came true conviction and repentance. Slapping a rule on her would not have had the same effect.

The lady was already saved, that's not the issue here... Paul always corrects the churches he writes to, rather severely at times; "Godly sorrow leads to repentance" (2 Cor 7:10). Preaching repentance made Paul very unpopular, made Jesus very unpopular, makes everyone unpopular... something that shouldn't hinder us in doing so, however.
We ARE called to go to a brother and correct them in gentleness, and correct the opposition with humility, giving God the chance to grant them repentance...My Bible does say these things. We need clear instruction on what is sin and what is not.
I do however find the testimony in the video highly intriguing and love that we can hear our Good Shepherd's voice. We need more of this.
