What an amazing, positive difference these Urgritone cabs make to a rock-metal guitar sound! My first attempt was to model SLASH'S "World On Fire" (opening track riff) using the SPARK guitar amp vst (silver facade, removing quite a bit of the treble, presence and gain + disabled the SPARK cab) and then through the Ugri-Cab. I used an Epiphone SG-pro (has bright-sounding pickups) and then the Plugin Alliance SSL G eq-compressor. I modelled the sound in less than 10 minutes = I can't recommend this highly enough!
thanks for sharing! I found this thinking I was doing something wrong because it was super quiet and muffled. I got the complete metal bundle. Turns out a lot of their IR presets are just... uselessly quiet without cranking their levels o.O the levels are incredibly low on some of them; probably just going to delete some of them, which is annoying. You can see it on the meters in the plugin, they barely show up on the various slots, while others show up nice and loud. Anyway, thanks again! Found some I can use at least XD
The overall level of the presets shouldn't be quiet. Some of the individual IR faders will be low because because that was all that was needed. I don't own this plugin but maybe some of the presets have solo'd or muted channels or perhaps the preset is using IR's that you don't own. Wish I had the plug to help figure it out.
I started getting a few seconds of crackly noise every minute when I jam, after I installed this cab. I've been down that road before but I can't remember how I solved it. My Jackson humbuckers are shit too.
Hmm... maybe try a re-install, and also if you are using the VST version, make sure the VST2 and/or VST3 files are in the proper location. I've seen KVLT Drums put the VST3 file in the VST2 folder before and it causes issues.
Every time I add this plugin to the chain it automatically moves de pan to the right and if I try to bring it to the center, the sound just fades away. What am I doing wrong?
It sounds like your input / output may be set to mono. So the system believes that you only want it on either side. Maybe check out your input selection and make sure that stereo is selected.
Audio Assault’s aIR is similar in that each it’s cheap, can load multiple (infinite in AA’s case) IRs and can apply filters, panning, and volume to each IR. AA’s is far superior and possibly the BEST loader because it has modules you can use and you can export custom IRs as a new one instead if just saving the preset
Hey Benoni, I see you are using Studio One also! I have a question though. I'm using the LE456 amp sim with Trve Cab, but I still don't get any distortion in Trve Cab. I'm certain I installed everything in the right area, which is the plugins for Studio One 5, including the presets/different amps I got from Ugritone, but still...it's all clean and bassy....I don't have "Load Preset" next to Save Preset in the middle drop down menu, any advice?
have you tried using the File Browser to locate a preset and double click to load? I have no idea why you don't have a Load Preset button, it shows fine for me in Studio One.
@@BenoniStudio yes I think so. But I have no idea what I’m doing wrong and I can’t find any tutorials on how to do it. @@fuinle5410 I'd imagine so as long as inside your Guitar Rig you are only using an amp head (should sound like shit by itself) and have the built in Guitar Rig cabinet turned off. The GR amp should sound pretty shitty by itself, but when you open this Trve Cab plugin after Guitar Rig in your plugin FX chain and run these Impulse Responses your tone should sound good! - Disclaimer I don't use Guitar Rig, but I THINK this should work. Surely you can turn off / remove having a cabinet inside GR. If not, that cab will interfere with this cab.
@@BenoniStudio Ah yes, thank you, I downloaded the Auditory Preamp, I used a stereo track and the Auditory Preamp works, and got the TRVE Cab to work 2 times, and I'm trying to remember if I put Auditory and TRVE Cab together, as in..I use Auditory in the insert, and try sending it within the same channel to TRVE Cab then it became really slurred and slow. I'm very new to IR Loaders of this caliber. I appreciate your help man.
A fabulous crash course video on how to use this awesome IR loader! Thanks !
I got trv cab for Logic Pro and I just can't figure out how to install it unfortunately. 🤷♂️

Why does the IRs sound muffled with this ? I have NadIR and it is pure and bright compared to Trve Cab :/

instantiate a guitar amp plugin. if it includes a cabinet model, bypass it. instantiate TRVE CAB after the amp plugin. Setup your cabs. Play. 🤘

You have to use an amp plugin before the IR loader
