Are there any single player missions that are more historical? Ground combat related preferable. I know there are "infantry" models in the game but have they made them usuable (not playable)? I would love to play a historical mission with friends. Assualting a defensive line in 1942 or conducting a fighting withdraw in 1944. etc.
You could try finding something on live.warthunder, but I'm not personally aware of any "historical" user missions. There used to be Gaijin's historical campaigns (ported from their older games), but those are no longer available. Your best bet for playing missions with friends is through "Single missions", but it's a hit-or-miss whether they work properly in co-op. Also, they're all air-related. You could try finding a group that does historical reenactment events, those are probably your best bet.
