Oh man Kris. I’m fairly new to all of this and I wasn’t planning on getting one of these, but since you’re review I may have to! What a great light. Thanks for sharing!

Looking yo use in communjty theatre so I have concerns about fan noise:
    1) How loud? (compared to the noise level of a typical video projector)
    2) Always on or controlled?
    2a) On/off or variable speed?
2b) Fan control based on temperature sensor or programming?
2c) Is it possible to avoid the fans by setting a brightness limit? (Less heat at 50% for eaxample)

Thanks for checking it out. I do not recall any louder fan noise from this unit. I usually mention it if I think its loud. You can not control the fan independently. I believe it just kicks in when needed, but again in my testing it wasnt really noticeable. If hung in a theatre setting I think you would be good.

Can this be set the pan-tilt manually just one direction without a DMX controller? For stage use just focus the front not the back.
    Thanks

I bought 2 of these. It's my first bee eye so I don't know if this is the case with all of them but I feel like they "leak" a lot of light. What I mean is there is a lot of light around that square spots and beacuse of that beams look not as vivid. I saw some types have black cover on top of lens maybe that would help?

Hi, thanks for watching. I understand what you are saying. The larger one has that honeycomb type plastic covering the front and it does give more serperation and a cleaner defined look on the front of the unit. I have had 3 different smaller ones, and none of them have that. I think the effect looks pretty much the same unless you are using the macros to change individual led colors. Then, from the audience view, the honeycomb type plastic makes that type of effent more noticeable. (Defined)

@@KrisSzanto I checked out your video with bigger one. It seems to look better. I will try to 3d print similar cover to put on mines and give you some feedback. Hope it won't melt tho 😁.

Kris i'm guessing it doesn't do multi color patterns like a previous Shehds review?

Thanks for watching.. it is very similar to the other bee eye as far as the effect, just less leds, but bigger brighter ones in a smaller footprint. This spot is a bit tighter and wash not as wide. Both VERY cool!

It would be good to connect movinglight to a power meter on AC side and then show the value when all LEDs are on 100% ;)

I actually bought one to check some stuff and only used it in my spark machine vid. I will consider that from here out. Thanks.
