    I think they are fantastic! what really got me is their versatility. from spot to wash and pixelating function is a good thing to have. some older people like that effect so gives a nostalgic feel and the price is really good too

    I found a setting deep in the menu that allows you to keep the fan off until the lights reach a certain temperature. This may help with fan noise. It also runs the fan slightly lower than full blast making a little less noise.

    Great video. Looks like a great option for a big light, for a larger application. I appreciate the sharing of options that are not your traditional Brands. I use to be Team ADJ and have sort of switched to more Chauvet stuff over the last 4 years. Even those companies occasionally have issues with their products
    I was hesitant to try unfamiliar brands do to fear of poor quality but I believe that the lower price point can sometimes be worth the risk.
    Recently purchased some Rockville gear and it has preformed great.
    This light does a LOT! But even if just used as a beam or wash, it would still be a good value. (But I would use the “ Kinta look” on occasion, especially for the kid shows I do. Doesn’t look cheap to them. Lol Just looks fun.)

      Thanks for watching! I've been using all chauvet movers until now. The Chauvet build quality is noticeably better, but these Shehds are better than other generic movers I've played with

    With the "Kinta" type effect - dont have it constantly rotating. Have it fixed in 1 fairly wide position, then use the pixel mapping and head movement. Will create a wide variation of beams, similar to multiple moving heads doing alternate beams :)
    Just ordered 2 (different brand though) and I'm BUZZING!
    Great to see you playing with them and your views :)

      That's pretty creative! Its definitely different than the traditional spot or beam

    I see you do alot of reviews of various entry level/affordable moving heads and it has helped me and others im sure make smarter purchasing decisions. That said, i have a few requests. I would find it helpful it if you would review the sound operated mode and how functional each light is without using a DMX controller. Does the light actually move to the music. Can you get a good.light show from it without a DMX controler? Can you master slave it to other lights? Im sure im not alone when i say id rather put 2 to 4 lights in master/slave and let the internal mic do.its thing. So knowing what tllight work best in this way would help. Obviously you dont want to redo each video to add this topic but maybe you could do one video looking at the top 5 or 10 lights for use without a controller?
    Finally, i would love to see a series on how to best us a controller. Ive messed with soundswitch but it seems complicated. Maybe you could do a series.on that. I also wonder if a physical controller like the Obey line would be easier. That said im not sure how to make a show with them.
    The truth is lights nowadays have so many tricks and applications that i feel like you need to be a lighting engineer to maximize them. Maybe you can help make this less intimidating.
    Anyway, thanks again for al the reviews

    When used on a totem will they tilt down far enough ?
    Had that problem with other Shehds fixtures ...
    Tilt would not go down far enough on a totem

      These don't have that issue as much as the 160w 3 in 1. These are advertised as having the full 270 and it defintiely feels pretty close

    That's one noisy fan!! personally I'm not into the bee eye lights. always looks like a cheap like effect.

    • @DJDarylBennett
      @DJDarylBennett  10 месяцев назад

      Yes it is a noisy fan haha this is also not my normal microphone, i'm not a "fan". I am not a huge fan of the rotate, but I think the beams are pretty cool, and the moving head wash effect is cool

    • @phillipdiaz4742

      @@DJDarylBennettthe beam and the wash are cool. The effects it's the thing i don't like. Gives that cheap derby polka dots look.

    • @leesinthemix
      @leesinthemix 10 месяцев назад

      Yeah I agree. It's a shame they don't just make a version of this with a slightly better zoom ratio and no bee eye.
      The housing of these lights are basically identical to the ADJ Flex series, but anything like that you're talking over £1,000.
