Raft foundation is good for areas with poor or weak soil bearing capacity or unstable soil or watery soil. Its raft foundation because it looks like a raft.

The practical example you have shown in your video is not Raft foundation rather it is called Strip Foundation.

depending on your building weight. Same as the distance between two beams... You need to figure out how the loads transfer to foundation, advice you to set a value for axial loads or moment (as what did in Prota software analysis)

we not calling it slab when it is the foundation, raft foundation can have minimum depth similar to pad footing or pile cap. Depending on how heavy and how poor your site soil
