Can one keep these with desert hairy scorpions? I have a tank with some blue death feigning beetles that i wish to put a scorpion into, but i think velvet ants would also be cool
lol, I understand that you are probably young but you likely misread the title in thinking I was calling them beetles. Be a little more careful about how you write things. It's confrontational and you typed before you thought about what you typed.
I love it when you share with us!!!!! ❤❤❤ Those little ctitters are beautiful and fascinsting!
Thank you very much. Bug season has returned and I will post more!
i didnt know you can keep the velvet ants with the darkling beetles, thats really cool
Along with aquatic insect tanks, these types of communal tanks are the most active and fun to watch!
Its fuzzy!!!❤
I love them all! D. gloriosa might be my favorite Dasymutilla species…and Asbolus verrucosus is hard to beat, desert beetle-wise!
Yeah, the thistledown is just a little clown of an insect!
Show off 😂❤
I mean, you took the words right out of my mouth 😋
if i saw any of those bugs irl and not in a beetle tank i think i would genuinely tweak out
They are so fun and interesting to encounter in nature and make great pets to watch in display tanks!
Is that an diabolical ironclad beetle?
Yes, but it is the “hellburnt” morph with brown spots

Not sure about the velvet ants and scorpions. People have asked before but I’m not sure if anybody has actually tried it.
Velvet Ants are not ants but wasps, and the females are wingless, just the males have wings.
Check your facts before posting!
