"We're going to represent all the people who just liked doing things but weren't necessarily experts at everything" is going to be my theme for this month. Love it. Also love the purse, it turned out beautifully! Stash busting and budget friendly - truly an ideal end result. I love what your mind comes up with! Also again, an honourable mention to certain purring friends in the video, they are much appreciated 🧡
This is such a wonderfully calm and pleasent video! Your calm explanations kept me great company while I did my own sewing and I now feel very excited to make my own little pocket!
Ma Kristine , I am very impressed with your embroidery skills...this cute purse Norwegian style is just so pretty.... I would like to see your take on something I do not seem to get quite clear: A Mexican embroidery called: TENANGO. this type of embroidery in used on Mexican and Guatemalan blouses called: HUIPIL this litle blouse is very simple, and has a long history as far as the Azteca times. I LOVED your presentation on: DARNING I used to do it when I was very young, since socks were so expensive in Central America. I also would like to see your take on the Japanese PATCH mending called : BORO sound simple, but is not.... Thank you for the time you take to give us the history of the craft you are presenting....
I am not sure if they have a specific name, but in Norwegian they fall under “veskelås”, or “purse lock”. I would struggle to find the appropriate terms in English, but I imagine “chatelaine” would start you off on the right direction.
This purse is just gorgeous!

It fits my phone, at least.
This is wicked cute. May give this a go, using a draw-string instead of the purse closure.
Thank you, a drawstring would look really cute with this!
Soot's purring is next level adorable. 💗

Are any of the pockets done with Hardanger? I am so happy I found you !!
Not that I am aware, since Hardanger seam includes cutting away parts of the fabric for decorative effect. You never know though. :)
Just thought they may have been lined .... You do beautiful work !!

What are the skirt hooks called, please?

@@KristineVike Thank you! Chatelaine does seem like a good starting place!
