- There are many potential markets out there, but when you are choosing one, there are some important criteria I use when deciding on a product that I want to sell online.

1: stick to really big markets.
2: pick products where you can really differentiate
3: figure out your second and third products before launching your first product, usually targetting the same group of people.

That makes sense
But then, no matter what you do, don't roll multiple products out too quickly when you're first getting started.
Really dial them in before you spread yourself too thin!

The P&G comment is so true.. I was in the department that tried to bring innovations with 3rd party manufacturers and the process was so conversome... Entrepreneurs have a massive advantage. Specially because the big companies cant go the lets try and iterate till we find product market fit route. It would damage their brand, so they want to get it correctly the first time and take forever

Thank you Ryan. Ryan what do you think about product patenting if you have a new idea and you don't want it copied, or other people illegally selling your product? Is product patenting worth it, and would you opt for it and why?
I'm in the same predicament lol. Thinking of hiring sm1 who can research patents and help apply for mine. If you have better ideas, let me know :)
@@followmearound123 I think i have done sufficient research about patents. If you dont mind, I could help you out with the information i've found. The only part thats preventing me from going ahead and applying for one is the lack of funds, even though it doesn't cost a lot. It costs between $250 to $1500, but the majority are below $500. So if you could help fund for my first patent, I will help you and guide you with the information i've found, but we could also team up in some way. Let me know what you think?
