    It's no doubt Solinco is killing it with their lineup. After playing with this string for 3 years I thought it was time to do an official review and playtest. We'll talk about the string, how it feels, the pocketing, the power, the control, and of course the comfort level. We talk tension, how it plays in different rackets, what type of tennis player it's for, and how long the string lasts.
    Check out the Hyper-G review here! • The green string with ...
    What are you playing with at the moment? I'd love to hear!

    Hello, I know this post is old, but I figured you may have some updated and informed info for me. I’m currently using Wilson NXT Multifilament 16 gauge and love the feel at 57 pounds of tension. I’m thinking about soft polys and was curious between Tour Bite Soft, Luxilon 4G soft and Luxilon Element Soft IR. Would you happen to have any thoughts/comparisons of the three and what tension? I’m a hard swinger for what it’s worth. Thanks for any insight! Love your reviews!

      @@EvokeTennis it really does help with control. I’ve been using the thinnest guage of both and love it. For a bit more control but reasonable comfort I switched the Tour Bite Soft for regular Tour Bite in 110m guage 👌🏼

    1:51 The strings in the racquet on the left are seriously out of place. Did you string it at a really low tension? How many hours has that string job got on it?
    PS. Great channel by the way!

    i had my W blade 98 with Y polytour rev at 25kgs and then i changed to TourBite Soft at 22/21kg tension and after 30 minutes i was looking at my Blade, it seemed like a totally new stick! The most important difference was no more wrist and elbow pain. In addition, amazing improvement in playability, much better control, deeper balls and less balls off court. I guess it had to do with the fact that with the high tension and stiffer strings of my initial configuration i had to hit harder to spin the ball (not perfect technique like many amateur players i suppose). So, when i lowerered tension and changed to softer strings, everything became so much easier for my game.

    Thanks for the review. I tried out the original Tour Bite many years ago, but really didn't like it. It was way too stiff and I was suffering from a bit of tennis elbow at the time, so it exacerbated it. But Tour Bite Soft sounds interesting. I've settled on a hybrid setup with Volkl Cyclone Tour 18 (45 lbs) in the mains and Forten Sweet 17 (45 lbs) in the crosses. A little expensive, but I'm not a string breaker and it seems to stay playable for me for quite a while. Gives a nice cushy feel. Tecnifibre Razor Code and Black Code are also pretty nice, soft co-polys. Prince Synthetic Gut is pretty comparable to Forten Sweet and comes in tons of different colors if you're into that.

      Hey love that you're on 18g in the mains, sounds like a great setup. TB Soft is just my simple quick go to setup that I can rely on. Once I started using 18 I won't go back, it's just too good. It doesn't last but about 3 weeks but it's totally worth it for comfort and performance. Thanks for watching and your nice comment hope all is well!

    • @EvokeTennis

      I'm ok with a setup like this, but I think most people will desire a bit crisper control feel. But if comfort is big for you, go for it. I played with TB Soft in the Price ats 98 and liked it!

    Great review Tennis Vacation. Love those har tru courts. Nice club. Let’s come over that backhand a bit in 2020. It will make your slice even more effective. I use a one hand and most struggle with the slice esp on grass and fast hard courts where it skids here in Providence, RI. You gotta check out the hall of fame in Newport ! The 250 tourney in July is so awesome. You are right on the courts. It’s disgusting

    why do you string lower tension when its really hot outside ? doesn't the ball fly even more if you string at loose lower tensions ?

    • @EvokeTennis
      @EvokeTennis  2 года назад

      I don't lower it from my normal when it's hot, if anything I would go a couple pounds up when it's hot. Maybe you think my normal tension is low because I'm not sure what you are referring to. I'm 45 lbs on this string year around, maybe 47 if I feel it's getting away from me in the summer

    What tension for tbs has more power, 45 or 40?

    • @EvokeTennis
      @EvokeTennis  4 года назад

      Jackson Webb 40 for sure, lower tension is more powerful. The switch from 45 to 40 takes some adjustment so I start with 43 as a middle ground then lower from there on the next restring if I am playing around with tension. You have to watch it if it’s really hot out, that’s when I go back up to 45 because it can get super powerful!

    • @jacksonwebb3290
      @jacksonwebb3290 4 года назад

      Vacation Tennis ok thanks, 43 feels good, I’m used to playing with stiff polys at around 45 ish, it was very surprising to find that this was not overpowered at all, and control was very good especially because I hit with loads of spin
