Reunion and Walvis bay are two completely different places, Reunion is very populated and located in Indian ocean, it has been under french rule for more than three centuries. Walvis bay is a place in Namibia, on Atlantic coast.
Many African countries have been "independent" for up to 6 decades but have very little or nothing to show for it. Mayotte is French, Comoros is independent but comorans want to live in Mayotte illegally to mean they will be better of as a French department too. Much of what was said in this video skews facts to push an ideology which is wrong. Self determination is a right
Wait. Wait. You mean our Walvisbay. Correction. Not true. Was but sometim after Namibian indepence. Namibian government fought with tooth and nail in courts all the world and we own our Walvisbay. Maybe another one
@@cocotv7902 you don’t understand, Walvis Bay is in Namibia in the Atlantic Ocean, Reunion Island is in the Indian Ocean. These are too different places and Walvis Bay is not under the control of colonisers
Half of those were uninhabited when Europeans arrived, so the Europeans are the indigenous population. The other half wants to remain a part of a European country because it'll make them way richer and the European country doesn't restrict their self-determination and grants them full rights.
Some factual errors which highlights poor research skills and a lack of fact checking. All of these places are still either English or French because they wish to remain so. As for the British overseas territories the population is predominantly of British decent and there was no indigenous population pre colonial times. .
Thanks for uploading, you are educating us ,we didn't know that.
