When I was younger , they would come to the Pubs in the North of England . They sold their newspaper the War Cry . I noted on a resent post they have now changed the head gear of the ladies. These people do great work & people should respect them. God Bless Them.

They assist poor / homeless / and those in despair. They had a refuge in down town Joannesburg , not sure if still active. They when I first came to RSA looked after many in need that was in 1966. Always played Christmas Carol Services in Shopping Malls. They deserve all the support they can get. God Bless Them.

Thanks Rob for posting . Still wearing victorian bonnets in 1988 , talk about not keeping up with the times!!!

Excellent tradition and uniform wearing. Love it! Keeping up with the times is not necessarily linked. The Guards still wear victorian uniforms and are very "modern" with equipment, career choices etc!
