I really just thought that they gave you the indestructible version of the winterized power armor on purpose but we really will never know
According to a video I saw awhile ago, they accidentally added the simulation version of the winterized power armor (which never breaks) instead of the actual intended power armor (Dont ask how they missed that)
@@jordangardner4246 how did they miss that?

Ah yes the medical power armour. That one always kept my spirits up for some reason.
just wage war with all the faction, you wont be sad, just insane

Stealth suit from Old world blues is the only emotional protection i need, that suit is so wholesome
Bugs are god tier when they help
5% damage perk from Point Lookout was fantastic.

That funny moment when canonically the best power goes to XO3 Hellfire since the prototype’s durability was tested by literally yeeting mininukes at it with a guy inside it. Proceeded to succeed in every way but never got full deployment

The Hardened MK 2 advanced power armor is no joke, it was the first of its kind, it was the armor of choice for the strongest fighter in the history of the wasteland, and it is probably the only reason we know that character as the Chosen One, and not Horrigan victim #10,090…
Correction: these power amours were used in the resources war, not the great war.

Hellfire, T-65, Hellcat, Enclave X-01, Tesla…
To name a few
Yeah....its a long list of superior armor. All of which, minus two, are Enclave PA
Frank Horrigan had a special X-01 suit of power armor that is, due to it's sheer size and toughness, the strongest known power armor
Yeah dude doesn’t know his lore if he seriously thinks t51b is the best, like breh
isn't hellcat and x01 the same...
@@Sina.575 Ahahahaha not at all. Their two separate sets of Power Armor. Hellcat was made for marines and was used pre-war. Post war it is used by a mercenary outfit. The X-01 is a prewar prototype power armor
Everyone gangster until a colossal super mutant behemoth gets the frank horrigan treatment
I never realized how large Frank might actually be in a modern Fallout game but he’s canonically a behemoth right? Like 12 ft or some shit. The thought of a behemoth in enclave power armor is dope but terrifying
Swan didn't survive my mini nuke
"You've gotten a lot farther than you should have... but then you haven't met Frank Horrigan either. Your ride's over, mutie. Time to die."
The way I imagine it
T-45 = 80% efficiency, 80% cost
T-51 = 100% efficiency, 100% cost
T-60 = 90% efficiency, 80% cost
The T-45 was a rushed model with many practical issues. It didn't cost too much but it was the first ever version it had issues, still it provided the US forces with the edge to win in Alaska.
The T-51 wasn't rushed, it was high quality in production but it was expensive due to different alloys and layers it had, it offered superior protector in the fields.
The T-60 is a modernised, improved version of the T-45, more efficient yet not any more expensive than what the T-45 was, they ironed out (pun) the flaws and made it even more durable from what they've learned. It wasn't used directly in war against China, it was deployed by the national guard and in domestic use.
In Fallout 76, this is shown to be the case. The T-51b proves superior to the T-60 in ballistic and energy resistances, but not in radiation, im which the T-60 is better.
And the T-45 is worse in all 3 categories, but its cheaper to repair and more avaliable on low level.
In addition, the T-45 was used as a base for a private company, Garraham Mining, to develop the Excavator power armor, made for industrial use for miners. Cool huh?
You forgot the union power armour that's a heavily modified T-45
Excavator armor for miners? GUYS WE HAVE WH40K TERMINATOR ARMOR NOW!
Frank horrigan called, he wants his child back
Personally I like the medic power armor from FO3 just has a different cool factor although the both special Pit armors are still cool
I loved that FO4 has an Auto-Stim upgrade you can put in your power armor.
didnt that one tell you when enemies were near? Or I'm sure it kinda talked in some way?
@@TheX-Philes It would talk to you and inject you with med-x and/or stimpacks if you had any
Wonder if the x-01 still had the flaw in the welding
Doubt it, whole new design on the chest plate, Same with the T-51 in my opinion
Wonder if it's this way in game to
was just a flaw in the T60 and the T45 what is based on
@@matthewsmith7802 no unfortunately you can't target the chest plate separately, You can however shoot the fusion core or Pickpocket/steal it and force them out of the armor
I was just thinking this an hour ago! It would be great if in season 2 we meet the enclave remnants or Arcade, and the ghoul tries his theory again only for it not to work.
For the longest time too, the Gauss Rifle was bugged. I took mine from the first chance I could get to get there, through Zeta, and it would never degrade below 1/2 condition. No matter how much I used it. But even at 1/2, it had a bugged chance of damage. You could watch it be a sneak attack headshot (VATS or ADS), and see no damage taken. Loved Fallout 3, and unlike falling through the ground in NV for years, the bugs in 3 are part of the charm…like pipes dripping tin cans in the D.C Subways haha
And a Gauss Rifle. Operation Anchorage is a bad Fallout dlc, but for how long the dlc is (which it's quite short), it's rewards are worth it.
I had fun with it, but you're right: The goldmine at the end is the best part.
My personal favorite is the Chinese stealth armor.
X-03 "Hellfire" Powered Combat Armour
So the ultimate power armor is one that transcends reality.
That's some eldritch armor right there.
Wanna know something absolutely absurd??
If you get the unique displacer glove and max ur strength n melee ability… it’s a one shot on any enemy including brotherhood of steel and deathclaws. If u turn it to harder setting it still launches them n rag dolls even legendary death laws and uppercuts turn heads to pink mist :)
The t45 series and t60 are both metal based, with the t60 being an improved model on the t45, the t51, x01, and enclave series all use a polymer/ non metallic composite which in lore and gameplay is the best set up for power armor, the main difference between advanced armor mk1 and mk2 is the mark 2 uses separated plates that improve mobility over the mk1
well, then there is APA MK1, 2, and 3
APA mark 1 is the strongest and most advanced, as the enclave used made it on the rig, APA mk 2 and 3 were made in the capital wasteland and are as strong as the T-45 and T-51
@@8vantor8 that’s in game canonically spa mk 2 is stronger than mk 1, even though gameplay does not reflect that. Mk3(hellfire) is the strongest ever developed
@@hazard4349 apa mk2 is more then likely mass produced and cheap as a result, and most of their production went down with the rig
@@8vantor8No, the only reason that APA Mk2 is so weak is because the Enclave are introduced really damn early in the story, so if you got the best armour in the entire game so early, it’d make the rest of the game laughably easy. Lorewise, APA Mk2 is a considerable improvement over the Mk1, as it had to contend with the BoS who were, at the time, much less disjointed and much more alert to the movements of the Enclave after the events of Fallout 2. So while in game, it’s on par with T-45, in lore, it’s among the most advanced suits of powered armour to ever be developed.
Tl;Dr, game balance trumps lore.
@@decimation9780 mate, your tldr contradicts what you just said
76 fixed ingame T60 stats to be more lore friendly. Basically, its supposed to be weaker than T50, but cheaper and more "mass produced" friendly. That's why US Army use it more tha T50
Although all of this was taken from wiki sites, the T-51b is better than the T-60 (excluding gameplay from FO4). The T-60 was made to be cheaper and easier to produce than the T-51b, how could it be the most advanced model? Also, the X-01 was created before the war, not after. The Enclave’s Advanced Power Armor is the postwar version of the X-01, but they are two different variants.
Lets say u get a v2 but ure in the 1960s. Of course the V2 was the most advanced in WW2 but ure also now able to bring people to the moon so its obvious that theres some progress in development
@@1simp4RiasGremory The T-51b entered service in June of 2076 and had a 10 year development cycle. All it says for the T-60 is it entered service mere months before the Great War. There wasn’t a period of 20+ years between T-51b & T-60. T-51b overall was the BEST power armor for military use, T-60 was just cheaper and a lot easier to produce. Bethesda kinda messed up by having the T-60 be better than the T-51b in Fallout 4, but in 76 the T-51b is better stats wise.
@@1simp4RiasGremoryvery good comparison 👏🏻
@@ItzWuLFe we all know its just Bethesda bs. Im a fallout 1 & 2 an enjoyer which makes it border on sacrilege. But also the Video was weirdly Phrased by saying the best based on hitpoints. Like who tf judges a Power armor based on HP. If you really wanna make it reasonable you go for protection and possible Upgrades. Its obvious that the latest Power armor you can get is also the best
@@1simp4RiasGremory Bethesda has messed up a lot lol. In my opinion I think T-60 is better than T-51b in Fallout 4 is because Bethesda wanted their new armor to be better than pre-existing armors. X-01 is also a “new” power armor for the series, despite being a retcon. I’m honestly okay lore wise with the X-01 being in development pre-war and being the basis for the APA, but the T-60 on the other hand doesn’t really make sense lore wise. How is it that during the events of Fallout 1-New Vegas not a single T-60 was ever discovered, yet in 4 the entire Brotherhood is outfitted with them lol
Soooo, no one going to talk about the narrator talking about the T-60 while showing the T-45 jumping off the roof in Concord?
1 million hit points?! Your practically invincible

In Fallout 3 and New Vegas, the strongest in terms of a Strength bonus is the T-45. It is helpful for min maxing special stats or boosting you up just enough to use some big guns

Fallout is a media franchise of post-apocalyptic role-playing video games-and later action role-playing games-created by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky,[1][2] at Interplay Entertainment. The series is set during the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd centuries, and its atomicpunk retrofuturistic setting and art work are influenced by the post-war culture of the 1950s United States, with its combination of hope for the promises of technology and the lurking fear of nuclear annihilation. My personal favorite power armor is always going to be the T-45D. Maybe it's not the best, but it gets the job done, plus heck!! It's beautiful
X-01 looks like a bird lmao
X-01 looks like the Advanced Mark II Power Armor that the Enclave crafted in Fallout 2.
The winterised T-51 has thousands of durability points, making it nearly indestructible, so you never really need to repair it. However it doesn’t grant you near invincibility, as it doesn’t make your HP a few thousand points. It only increases it as much as the regular T-51.
The T-51 will always be my favorite
I thought you were going to mess it up, but you recovered perfectly! Well done!
T-51 b!!!! The OG and best. That was the Armor you got in the first Fallout. The original and still the best, bayyyybeeeee!
What about Advanced version of this armor from Fallout Tactics? It is much better than original T51 b, isn't it?
X01 is my favorite looking. Just the curves and aggressive presence, gets me hot and heavy
Need to do a little more research into lore next time. The T-45 was the most commonly used power armor before the bombs dropped. The T-60 didn't even see deployment until after the Battle of Anchorage. Which was less than 3 months before the bombs dropped and the last major battle of The Great War.
Now I KNOW that TECHNICALLY Frank Horrigan's armor is a part of him, BUT still is power armor. So, what would y'all rank it as? Above the X varients or below the T varients?
In my opinion it’s the x-02 power armor it’s easy to get and u don’t have to be any higher level to get it u just have to get the speak of the devil quest and complete it then I’ll have to fight enclave reminists and I’ll have the x-02 power armor to your self
Talks about T-60. Shows clips of T-51. Absolutely genius
Remnants power armor gave you that spinning thing on the back tho

T51 and x01. Walking tanks.
Winterized T-51B is my favorite.
In terms of actual defense and power bonuses the Winterized Power Armor falls short to like all the FO4 Power Armor.
Honestly, that hug is for the best. Otherwise, it would likely be nearly useless because there would be no way to repair it as you can only get one set of it.
Long story short:
*fallout 1's "crit for 0 dmg" armor*
The absolute best power armor is the winterized T-51b in fallout 3. It’s indestructible and has good stats.

Fun fact:
La X-01 fue la predecesora de la Mk1 avanzada del enclave.
As of 2024, the enclave XO2 power armor and the hellfire power armor are the best in the game. They added them to fallout 4 for the next gen update.
The t-60 was never deployed, only ever seen in Boston and Appalachia
If the glitch goes right you never have to repair that armor from the DLC
OK so yes, as we suspected, the X-01 (really, the "Advanced Power Armor MkII") is the best power armor as supported by canon.
X02 has taken over
I JUST beat that dlc
As far as I know the technically most advanced set is the Hellfire armor we see in 3 but we all know it’s that winterized t51, which can exclusively be repaired by the much worse unwinterized version
The X-01 looks like something aliens developed it’s so cool. Probably my favorite set. The classic T-45 is my second favorite.
T-60 Power armor was entered into service less than a week before the Great War.
If you use the gary corpse you can take everything from the sim back with you in 3
I feel like the armor itself if they had just given you a regular piece of power armor it woulda been likely a shitty quest reward unless they did smth unique with it like just make it incredibly durable but whether they meant to or not now it's actually worthwhile to go get
I never really liked the design of the XO-1 power armor mainly because it looked like a mirelurk. but i think it looks pretty cool now.

Why people always forget the Midwest Power Armor from Tactics, she's underrated

I remember doing operation anchorage in the very beginning of my first run and then regret it because I was stuck with the same armor all the game.
Correction, your "t-60" is the T-51 since only the T-45 and T-51 were in the war, (unless you go off the botched cutscene in fallout 4 which is the only thing saying that T-60 was even though of at the time of the war) the T-60was designed and used by the brotherhood of steel, as for the X-01... Lores mixed up for that, old fallout such as 1 2 or 3 say the enclave designed it after the war, fallout 76 said it was made before the war but only mentioned in a loading screen tip
