    Just bought my first Irish Bouzouki - waiting for it to be mailed… I think this will be my first song… I’ll stick to the 100 bpm though !!!
    Missus is going to strangle me for buying yet another instrument (4 basses 6 ukuleles one guitar 😂)

    Thank you so much for this. I so thoroughly enjoyed learning this song. You are the ONLY artist on RUclips that does excellent breakdowns for Bouzouki novices. I have learned so much through your videos. Do you think you could please, PLEASE do a tutorial on Daoiri Ferrel's Little Drummer Boy? I love that song and would love to learn it. Cheers !

    Hi Brent, thank you so much for this great tutorial. Would it be possible to share the GP file (I assume it is Guitar Pro) with us? It would be great to have a larger view on the tabs…

    Class tutorial, Can’t find many good tutorials for Irish songs. How did you learn Bouzouki? Are you self-taught?

    • @brentmatusikmusic
      @brentmatusikmusic  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! Yes, I'm self taught at Bouzouki, but I did have a pretty good head start on stringed instruments, having played guitar for 16 years!

      @brentmatusikmusic  Год назад +1

      I currently don't have a platform to give away my transcriptions, but will look into getting that setup once I get my ducks in a row more with the development of this channel.
      Yes, I do have some additional lessons in the works, and will likely continue doing them if there's continued interest!

      @@MGWAIKIDOJITSU Nice! Love me some Dead South.
      I've been working on it...I can sing it individually, but trying to mesh the Bouzouki and vocals together is still a work in progress. Daoiri is a beast...!

    Alright man ive got a random request. There was a hobbit videogame from 2003 and the track Battle of Laketown has the single most badass bouzouki riff ive ever heard and i cannot find the chords to save my life. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to deploy your talents to break that sucker down

    • @brentmatusikmusic
      @brentmatusikmusic  Год назад

      Definitely one of the most obscure requests I've ever gotten, didn't even know this was a game!
      At a quick glance, you'd have to tune your Bouzouki down a half step, as I'm hearing a low F# on the lower sounding riffs that isn't accessible on standard bouzouki tuning. It is possible that this is for Mandocello, as those are typically tuned lower than a Bouzouki, but I can't 100% confirm that just by listening to it.
      I have a backlog of stuff I'm currently working on, but I'll consider it

      I have the same one but in the different wood it’s very loud so I fingerpick it at the moment with out a plectrum , but I’m looking I guess to fill the sound hole with a nice inlay like yours ,
      Keep those tunes coming Bro , maybe Pat Rainey when you have some time if poss 👌

    You didn’t actually show the picking pattern. Isn’t that a big part of what the lesson should include?
