This is the best video on interlocking! Thank you so much for posting. I literally just did my hair by myself for the first time (since being loc'd) because of you. It's so much easier then I thought it would be.
This makes me happy. So happy the video was able to help you. I was shocked how easy it was initially too. Especially when people talk crap about interlocking so much. Thank you for watching. Subscribe to my channel if you aren’t yet subscribed. Happy New Year
My
Where can we find the tool ??? Local beauty supply
@@shawnking616 I bought mine on amazon
Amazon or local beauty supply store. For amazon there is a link in the description
Best demonstration video out, no crazy music in the back ground, no un funny comedy skits. Perfect, thank you!!
Ain't that shit annoying all YT are basically the same, I often look for short vids can't stand all that unnecessary talking.
Yes!!!!
😂😂😂😂
Comments like these immediately draw me to videos thanks for being on the top of the list i guess lol
Yes no annoying music
I palmroll my locs and have never really considered interlocking because it always looked confusing, but you did a really great job of breaking the process down and making it look so effortless.
Marlisa J. Have you tried it yet since you watched 6months ago. Yessss. I keeping tabs on y’all. Let your girl no if you tried. Also remember you can pic a loc in the back to experiment with. That’s what I did.
glamnaturallife I tried it with two of my locs. I did two in the front. It took so long, but I know things get better with time. For now I think I’ll stick with the palm rolling.
Inner lock stwist keeps your dreads from thinning out
@@hybrdmentality True!
You doing a good job 👏 👍
Everyone has their own way of teaching. The most important part is that you learn. One cannot learn if you don't listen. Interlocking has a learning curve so details matter. No one can watch this video and say that they didn't learn. Thank you for teaching us the right way.
Jon Scott thank you. 🥰
I'm not really sure why people are leaving rude comments. This tutorial was wonderful.
Lee & Clementine thanks hun. It’s ok. Some people like info quick without detailed instructions. Then they get upset when their locs are damaged. I am not changing how I deliver the message. Thanks for watching and happy you appreciate the video
Exactly!
Exactly we have to learn to be patient.Loved your video sis thank you.
@@GlamNaturalLife thank you so much for that reply. People infuriate me with there negativity towards eachother. I was taught, if you have nothing good to say... just shut up!...
@@rodaangeleyes Nope. You want to be a public figure. Then you expose yourself to criticism. If you don't like the feedback end your Channel. And some of the criticism has merit. You could learn something about brevity if you weren't so defensive. Blessings.
I just interlocked my daughter's hair for the first time ever!!! I was super nervous but she has disabilities so trying taking her to my loctician wasn't a good fit. It took me 3 days, I'd work maybe 30-45 minutes at a time and give her nice long breaks. I searched and searched RUclips for tutorials and yours was by far the best. THANK YOU!!❤️
Val K I saw your comment and would like to know did you give her locs so that she would not have to do much with her hair? I am a young black woman with a disability and was thinking about getting locs, so thought I would ask.
You're so awesome for this!! Considering doing my daughter's though she might undo it anyhow😃
🗣people dont have disabilities…society has difficulty conforming to people that are different from them!!!!
If you’re in a wheelchair and a building has ramps and elevators you move around just fine. It is when society fails to implement those adjustments that a person’s difficulty is exacerbated.
~a very compassionate nurse
@@ImLuckyNumber9 you saying people don’t have disabilities dismisses their problems even if you’re a compassionate nurse. Anyone can have a disability and be like anyone else they’re just slightly different and awesome in their own way
@@ImLuckyNumber9 people are disabled. And that’s okay. You don’t have to let the pendulum swing too far on this issue.
This the most informative and clear interlocking video on RUclips. Don’t @ me. I BEEN looking for somn like this.
Fresh Dha Priince thanks for watching. Happy it helped you
Lol
Been in lockdown cos of COVID-19, thinking of my locks and the salon. Been looking for videos for an hour and this is the best video so far. I am doing my hair by myself now
bisig62 same!! 😩
Same
Same here how have you managed?
Update?
I go to the salon, but after this I'm saving my money. Thank you!
I need to sincerely thank you!
2 years ago you made this video, not knowing that a Covid-19 pandemic was on the horizon and that many many thousands of us will be in lockdown with our hair in Locs!
Today my friend, sister and I are happier and many £s better off because of YOU! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 🤗🥰🤗 God bless you!
Exactly why I am looking now!
You're very welcome!
I was always taught not to let everybody do your hair and I have always loved doing my own hair! Been thinking about locking and came across your video! Very informative, loved the camera angles and product suggestions! Thank you 🤗
This video is A-class. I don't interlock but this was an exceptional tutorial and demonstration. Unparalleled. Merci beaucoup, ma'am.
I JUST REALLY WANT TO SAY THANK YOU FOR BEING SO THOROUGHLY DETAILIC ABOUT YOUR INTERLOCKING PROCESS. NO ONE HAS EVER STRESSED OR SAID “never go into the same hole Twice” I was wondering why my two locks I tried this with were growing like they were but I was putting the lock in the SAME exact hole. Thanks so much. You’re Amazing!😩
In the same hole or same rotation ? I’m confused
This was a very good demonstration how to retightened your locks. To be honest with you, I haven't done anything with my locks some one else did it for me, and it's getting so costly. I know that every day things are going up in prices. Not complaining at all. Only if I know how to do it I would be very happy. If I could get a needle like the one you demo with, I would be able to do it. Thanks for sharing your skills.😀
Yes that was a big one for me too.
Excellent video.
A good technique I learned is north, south, east, west and repeat south, east, west, north in rotation
That's how I do it. Sometimes I have messed up.. I see holes In a few. Need to fix that some how
I love interlocking! I interlock my own hair, but I wanted to make sure I get it just right because my sister also started her loc journey. She likes to wash her scalp frequently because of dandruff and just personal preference, and she’s a very low-maintenance kind of person so I knew interlocking would be the way to go for her :)
That’s why I love interlocking. I have scalp eczema so I was my hair every week or 2 week. So interlocking is for me
I love this video. Thanks for your extensive teaching
Omg! I finally got a tutorial that showed me exactly how to interlock without moving super fast! Thank you!!💜
Thank you so much. I started interlocking my son's hair last night. He had had locs for over a year and I was so tired of the retwist and it wouldn't stay very long before unraveling. This works so much better
Glad I could help!
This video was SPOT on! Thank you for sharing , your explanation, taking the time to reinforce by zooming in, going slow and demonstrating twice. I thought it was so complicated before. Now I can retie my own locs. YAY! 🎉 thank you @loclicious
I interlocked my husbands locks for the first time at the beginning of this month and this is pretty much how I did it so that makes me feel very good. And you are so right about the dreadlock tool being easier to use than the needle, it was so nice to use.
Yesssss, thank you for the details and live demo, I agree this is the best video out on interlocking. Appreciate ya!
you’re the only one on youtube this far that has done the four point rotation RIGHT thank you so much!!
Very nicely filmed! Up close is very helpful. And showing all four directions done on the scalp slowly helps us new ppl. Thank you.🙂
Thank you! Thank you! Your video is to the point, shows exactly what to do and exactly what I need to see! THANK YOU!!! I appreciate you!
This was great. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skills. I've had locs for 8 years and never did anything but wash, condition and wear. I'm getting them interlocked for the first time ever tomorrow and wanted to know what it was. Very helpful video. Thank you .
Thanx for your video I'm going to interlock when I start my locs. You are a genius
This was very helpful for me to loc my son hair. You helped me do a great job that he complimented me ( which is not often) he is very picky,
God bless you 🙏🏽
Oh my goodness. Thank you so much for this. My son and me have decided to start our loc journey together and I have been trying my best but THIS is going to make it so much easier.
This vid is 4yrs old but I had to comment on how detailed you were in you explanation without all the extra talking. I want to start interlocking my own hair as I’m in the military and usually stationed where there are no Locticians. Your video gave me hope cause I am so no a hair person lol. Thank you you’re a lifesaver
Great video on inter-locing. I use this same method and use the 4-way method. I also will try to wrap the fuzz.
OMG THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!! Detailed, sharp and I'm focus, clear and easy to understand. You are a lifesaver!!💖💖💖💖💖
Regina Antoinette happy you appreciate the video. Thanks for the lovely comment. If you haven’t yet, please subscribe to my channel🥰
You're a very good teacher. I had an appointment for my son today to get his roots interloced and she changed locations last minute. So I'm tired of looking for someone for years in TX and decided to teach myself. Your video was the first I found and it's perfect. Thank you for sharing about holes, direction , product and frizz. All those things annoy me when paying others to do his hair. Doesn't look proper when they're done. This is a game changer for me.
Thank you for posting this!
Just purchased the tool; going to interlock this week! 💕
Thank you! This was so clear and detailed. I appreciate you taking the time to make this video.
Sheree Madkins you are welcome my love
Thank you for this video. Started with palm rolls, but I switched to interlocking today. I already had the tool, but I didn't know what it was for. Not only was I able to do my hair, but I was able to get my locs to stay straight instead of curl up. Awesome tutorial!
Happy it was helpful to you. Keep taking care of your Locs
Brilliant! Clear and effective tutorial. The zoom aspect was very helpful. Well done and thanks.
thank you so much trying this today! my loc tool came in yesterday so excited.
Thanks a lot, have spent lot of cash on interlocking, am never satisfied. With your explanation, I can get this done myself. Your explanation is straight to the point and educative. Thanks once again
What makes the work unsatisfactory? I’m considering becoming a loctician, would love feedback on what NOT to do 😩
This video was very helpful. I prefer using the tool for my hair vs palm rolling.
Very informative. Just started my journey and I’m glad to be introduced to that tool and I’ll try the lock spray.
Thank you. I do my own re-ties now. Saving a whole lot of money. This video is fire.
Thanks! I always wanted to understand how to do it correctly. Your interlocks look fantastic!
Sharon Brown thank you hun. If you have questions let me know
Hey Queen...great video..very easy to follow,,,thanks & blessings
Hi 👋🏾 Thanks for your video, I just start my locks for the 1st time i know now what to do.
Very helpful. God Blessed 🙏🏾👍🏾
Throughly enjoyed watching your video, and most of all so informative, and your demonstration of how you interloc your beautiful locs was really helpful!! Thank You So Much 💓
Wow very detailed, just exactly what I have been looking for. You literally saved my "starter loc journey".Thanks so much 😘💕 You got a NEW SUBBIE 😊
ANOINTED QUEEN you are welcome Queen 👸🏽. Enjoy your journey
So informative. I am thinking about getting locs but I wanted something I can do myself. I ran across your channel and I was delighted. Thank you for your clear instructions on interlocking and maintaining your locs. The tips on maintaining your frizz was phenomenal!!
Joann Richards very happy you find the video helpful to you.
Nice one there. I'm about to have do starter locks on someone's hair n I find this tutorial very inspiring. I'm gonna succeed for sure
You are a life saver and a great teacher I will be doing my have more often
Thank u so much this video helped me alot I suppose too be doing my friends hair next week and it think I'll do perfect 😍
Vonna and Devon Rivers your welcome. Please do comment how it turned out. ❤️😊
I am so happy I came across your video! You have a true talent for teaching in simple terms. I am only 2 weeks locd, but the front of my hair is already puffy. I honestly don't mind frizz, I just don't want to be bothered with retwisting so often, just for it to unravel in a few days. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
Thank you for this informative video, I just started my locks journey and this video is very helpful. Thank you
This is the best video on interlocking I’ve seen thus far! Thank you so much for sharing. A big hug from Mozambique 🇲🇿.
This was a grat tutorial!! I was looking for a good interlocking tracking video. Thank you!
Rhema Flowers you welcome love. Have you tried it?
Love your hair love how informative you were I just started my locs 3 months ago new subbie here
Thank you. Enjoy your loc journey
Great video tried a couple with my hair and it works like a charm thank you so much
Thank you so much for doing this video. I'm about to start interlocking my own hair. I appreciate 🙏💛 your teaching me how to do this.
Oh Em Gee, what a great video! I didn't even know this method existed. I've been hand rolling/ twisting my dreads for over 5 years and was getting frustrated with how quickly the front would unravel (being the most exposed). The people that have crocheted my hair always do it too tight but this looks perfect! Can't wait to try this out :) :) :)
Also, wonderful video quality and great info - thank you!
Yes girl. I sometimes just interlock front and my side part to look a bit more fresh and let the rest do what it want. Lol. Happy you liked the video. Please subscribe if you haven’t already
thank you so much for sharing. I palm roll my locs, but i just started locs on my daughter and her hair will not loc and always unravels a day or so after a fresh retwist...I'm going to try this out. great video!!
Pretty Nelly thanks for watching love. Let me know how it turns out.
Just started with my daughters locs and she is due for an interlock because she has new growth so this is helpful. Just ordered the tool
You described it the best and you camera was set up perfectly so you can see every detail. Thank you!
Love this! Thanks👌
I love it, I Great mines done by a Stylist because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, TFS 4-28-18
Thank you Queen for this tutorial!! 💛❤️💚🖤
great video I was so confused and this makes so much sense, thank you! I was really worried when I saw the one where it went through the same hole every time!! Than you for clearing that up!
Great video, thank for sharing. I needed this.
Happy you appreciated it. Hope it helped
Thank you for this video. I've been maintaining my locks for a while and every time I do them, I basically end up playing guessing games on which way to start. It never came to me to skip part of the rotation to end with the hair going in the correct direction!
Glad it was helpful!
I just came across your page, tho my search gave me a post that was 3yrs ago I found it very helpful. I'll catch-up now because you present locs are at a different length. So anyways, thank you for that tutorial.
Thank you thank you for making this easy to follow! I have had my locs for 7 years and don't really want random hands and scattered energies in my locs so I try to do it myself. However my palm roll technique is never done the way a "loctician" will do it. It's always left with flyaways and don't last long so I've been wanting to learn how to interlock as I don't want to do my hair every few weeks when my new growth becomes fuzzy again! Even my parts are like yours since I started mines myself and am not skilled in doing hair. I've watched countless videos about interlocking and get so lost! LOL you made this easy to follow and ensured that I now can interlock my own locs successfully!! Even the tool you used is perfect for me as that back and forth movement people use with that hook escapes my capabilities. So thank you so much! Myself and my locs appreciate you!
It came at the right tym when I have to do my own locks
Glam with Ras let me know how that went ❤️
I love how you talk!
The best and most informative video I’ve seen yet. Clear, concise and straightforward. 🤩now I can repair and interlock my bfs hair so much easier.
Now THIS is what I needed! Thank you so much for your video and the links
I've been doing two strand twists since I started 9 years ago. It goes fast now and I just put them in larger twists for a day or two to dry. But I'm a chef and sweat a lot in the kitchen so it comes undone after a couple of weeks. I've been interested in learning how to interlock for a while to maintain my roots without weakening the hair but have not found much helpful info on it. And many use a crochet hook to just do individual hairs. This is the most informative tutorial I've seen and helps me understand the process much betrer. Thank you so much for posting it.
Brittiany Hightower I am so happy this video was useful to you. This comment made my day 😊
The best video. You are a star
I really love this video . I palm roll but I am also contemplating interlocking so that I can retwist less . I love not retwisting at all but this method has me extremely curious. thank you for being so clean with the instructions on how you do it bc I was so lost 🙌🏾😩 I will be trying your way indefinitely thank you so much for sharing ❤️🙏🏾
This is the ABSOLUTE BEST video showing interlocking!!! Thank you so much. I just started my locks with 2 strand twist, will interlock once I have more new growth. I’m feeling so much more confident now after this video
Glad it was helpful!
Very good video,👌 thanks for the detailed demonstration.
FENETI very happy you found the video helpful.
THANX FOR THAT INFO... I NEEDED THAT FOR MY SON HAIR
ZSAZSA RODEO happy it was useful for you.
Thank you queen!! I needed this. I’m new to the loc journey and needed some help!
Great teaching, instructions, details and camera work!! Keep up the quality work sis.
first time doing my own locs since everyone is in quarantine. thank you so much for this video just ordered this tool on amazon
maia tc happy you found it useful 🥰
I have had locs for over 2 years now and I have overly searched for the right video for self interlocing I can say my search is over now.
Thank you
Thank you for the very detailed tutorial! I greatly appreciate you zooming in to see the process clearly!
Beautiful Interlocs!!! I plan to have in my hair in this year 🦋 😊
This was very helpful. I tend to just twist my new growth, but it seems like a good way to combat the frizz.
icoleman150 this is definitely the lowest maintenance for me. In between I do wrap the frizz around the loc. I shared how I go that in my how to Tame Frizz video. Check it out
This is soo informative. Am gonna try this tomorrow ❤Thank you
Hwo did it go ? Did you achieve it ?
Thank you very much!!! Looking forward to trying interlocking : )
Thank you for sharing this video. You explained this perfectly.
I love that you maintain the same interlocking pattern in the same row, it looks extremely uniform and comfortable , i can assume based on the weight you can feel it lay in a direction pretty easily so it has to feel nice too as well as looking really symmetrical
This was an extremely informative tutorial, thank you so much for sharing 💙 (sidenote: I really enjoyed the thorough information and explanation. You're so kind to share your knowledge.)
I really appreciate your comment. Thank you for watching and appreciating a thorough explanation on how to interlock dreadlocks properly. I get slack for the video being long and talking too much. Lol. But I make videos I would want to watch so I am happy you appreciate it. Please subscribe for more videos. Thanks
@@GlamNaturalLife I know I’m actually seeing this a year later, but this video is just what I was looking for. No, you don’t talk too much, actually, I couldn’t believe it was this short and to the point. I have tried to watch other videos and literally forgot what it was all about by the time they were done with all the unnecessary chatter. Thank you so much and I referred you to my friends. Love and Light💜
@@GlamNaturalLife My daughter has had locs since the age of 4 and just turned 11. I taught her at a young age never to say "dreadlocs" , because there's nothing dreadful about our hair. We have been blessed with beautiful 👑 crowns. 🙂
You have a great teaching technique that is easy to understand. I am just starting to loc my hair so this is much appreciated and I will definitely get the tools you suggest.
Excellent tutorial. Thank you so much. It was very helpful 🙏🏾❤️
Thanks for sharing! Very informative and detailed. I loved watching and you beautiful.
Very informative loc video
Prettii Lexy thank you
Thanks for this video. I'm new at this, just twisted my hair a month ago.. I just watched one video before this one, but I think this way keep the locs smooth as they grow out. Everyone likes their hair to look a certain way. I think this way will work for me even though there are more steps.
You’re such a awesome teacher my first time seeing your channel I just subscribe. I don’t have locs waiting until I go to 🇯🇲 to get them started. Once I have them I will live on your channel.
Patricia Cunningham awww. You are too sweet. Thanks for watching and the support
Just purchased an interlocking too on the Amazon app. But I found 2 for a pretty fair price. I'd been wanting to see about interlocking my roots. They seem so loose. But I am only 3 months into my journey
I interlock using the same tool that you use.I have microlocks. My hair was thin, so I used 2 way rotation, which made my hair seem thicher. On the other hand, my daughter's hair is very thick,so I do 3 way rotation on most of her locks, and on the others, I do 2 way rotation. I find that 4 way rotation can eventually make your locks too thin.
You make it look so easy. My loctician recently moved to fort worth so I bought crochet tools and plan to interlock my own hair this weekend!
You are a life saver. This explained so much perfectly. Thanks you !
