I just interlocked my daughter's hair for the first time ever!!! I was super nervous but she has disabilities so trying taking her to my loctician wasn't a good fit. However my palm roll technique is never done the way a "loctician" will do it. It's always left with flyaways and don't last long so I've been wanting to learn how to interlock as I don't want to do my hair every few weeks when my new growth becomes fuzzy again! Even my parts are like yours since I started mines myself and am not skilled in doing hair. I've watched countless videos about interlocking and get so lost! LOL you made this easy to follow and ensured that I now can interlock my own locs successfully!! Even the tool you used is perfect for me as that back and forth movement people use with that hook escapes my capabilities. So thank you so much! Myself and my locs appreciate you!

I've been doing two strand twists since I started 9 years ago. It goes fast now and I just put them in larger twists for a day or two to dry. But I'm a chef and sweat a lot in the kitchen so it comes undone after a couple of weeks. I've been interested in learning how to interlock for a while to maintain my roots without weakening the hair but have not found much helpful info on it. And many use a crochet hook to just do individual hairs. This is the most informative tutorial I've seen and helps me understand the process much betrer. Thank you so much for posting it.

I really love this video . I palm roll but I am also contemplating interlocking so that I can retwist less . I love not retwisting at all but this method has me extremely curious. thank you for being so clean with the instructions on how you do it bc I was so lost 🙌🏾😩 I will be trying your way indefinitely thank you so much for sharing ❤️🙏🏾

icoleman150 this is definitely the lowest maintenance for me. In between I do wrap the frizz around the loc. I shared how I go that in my how to Tame Frizz video. Check it out

I love that you maintain the same interlocking pattern in the same row, it looks extremely uniform and comfortable , i can assume based on the weight you can feel it lay in a direction pretty easily so it has to feel nice too as well as looking really symmetrical

@@GlamNaturalLife I know I’m actually seeing this a year later, but this video is just what I was looking for. No, you don’t talk too much, actually, I couldn’t believe it was this short and to the point. I have tried to watch other videos and literally forgot what it was all about by the time they were done with all the unnecessary chatter. Thank you so much and I referred you to my friends. Love and Light💜

@@GlamNaturalLife My daughter has had locs since the age of 4 and just turned 11. I taught her at a young age never to say "dreadlocs" , because there's nothing dreadful about our hair. We have been blessed with beautiful 👑 crowns. 🙂

Thanks for this video. I'm new at this, just twisted my hair a month ago.. I just watched one video before this one, but I think this way keep the locs smooth as they grow out. Everyone likes their hair to look a certain way. I think this way will work for me even though there are more steps.

Just purchased an interlocking too on the Amazon app. But I found 2 for a pretty fair price. I'd been wanting to see about interlocking my roots. They seem so loose. But I am only 3 months into my journey

I interlock using the same tool that you use.I have microlocks. My hair was thin, so I used 2 way rotation, which made my hair seem thicher. On the other hand, my daughter's hair is very thick,so I do 3 way rotation on most of her locks, and on the others, I do 2 way rotation. I find that 4 way rotation can eventually make your locks too thin.
