The script idea behind the two movies (part 1 & 2) is just genius. Soo not cliché. Never thought a movie could be based on a simple, magical and clean idea. Hats off.

I saw this movie and loved it, as I did the first one. I hope that they make a third movie because the ending of this movie leaves a possibility for it. It depends how well, this movie does. The only disappointment for this movie is that you don't see the redhead, Henley from the first movie. It was planned for Henley to be in this movie but Isla Fisher was pregnant(with her third child) when they started filming so she was unable to reprise her role as Henley. So it was written that Henley left The Eye and a new female horseman named Lula, played by Lizzy Caplan, was selected by Dylan to replace Henley. If they make a third movie, perhaps they'll bring Henley back like maybe she'll want to return to The Eye. Though, I gotta admit, I liked Lula a lot, too!
Can you explain the first one to me, why did the the detective (Dylan Rhodes) want revenge on thaddeus Bradley? Why did he frame him and put him in prison?
+TheSpeedySam10 Thaddeus, a former magician turned exposer, exposed Dylan's father's tricks. Dylan's father wanted to rise back up quickly, so he tried doing an escape trick from a safe that he believed Thaddeus wouldn't have been able to debunk, only the safe wasn't built properly and Dylan's father was unable to get out before drowning. That old rich guy was the owner of the company that built the safe and Dylan wanted revenge on him, too. Dylan blamed Thaddeus for pushing his father too far as to perform a very life threatening trick and that old rich man for not having the safe built properly.
For a while, Dylan even believed that Thaddeus really became a magician exposer out of jealously that he was never invited to join The Eye and as revenge he tries to destroy all magicians by exposing their secrets but instead just makes them angry. Thaddeus believed The Eye isn't real but I think that's changed.
There's more to Thaddeus and the death of Dylan's father but you'll have to see the second movie to understand.
What did you love exactly? I found it to be cheap and lazy film. All style no substance and not in a good way.

I was rlly sad that Henley didn't return for the sequel but to be perfectly honest I absolutely loved Lizzy Caplin! She was amazingly funny and brought a whole new spark to the movie. If they do make a third, I would love to see Henley and Lula both back as Horsemen along with the 3 boys, one of my fav movies by far!!

For all of you who are wondering why they didn't call it 'Now You Don't' is because it took a long time to get the name Now You See Me recognized when it first came out. This has been said in multiple interviews that I have watched. ALSO, at the end of Now You See Me 2 it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger suggesting that there may be a third movie coming into the franchise therefore meaning that if they were to call this movie Now You Don't there wouldn't really be a suitable name for the next movie (presumably). ALSO, Isla Fisher (Henley Reeves) wasn't in the movie because when they were planning to film NYSM2 she fell pregnant resulting in her leaving the cast for this film. Thankyou.
Just watched it and is already easily one of my favorite movies 😍. Literally mindblowing and epic! As good or maybe better than part 1. Can't wait for part 3!

A THIRD movie is already being planned! I hope they make it and perhaps Isla Fisher will be able to reprise the role of Henley in that one. But I also hope that they keep Lula around, too. It be good to have more than 1 female magician in the organization.
