- In this video, Mr. B demonstrates how to do an in-cab inspection on a bus in order to do well on your CDL test! For more content please check out more videos on Mr. B's Trucking Institute where "We find solutions, not excuses."
Mr. B is a lead instructor and a licensed 3rd party CDL examiner in the state of Georgia. This channel is a study tool to help those who are pursuing a career in truck driving. Remember, your state's examiners might require a slightly different procedure. The process Mr. B uses is good for Georgia and will pass easily in most states.
I LOVE your videos. The first video series that helped me to remember using acronyms, upbeat nature, and humor. Right up my alley!
You are so welcome!
Hey! Your video helped my pass my CDL test last week as a Disneyworld bus driver. You the man!
When you leased the brake beginning your air test did you wait for the first minute and say 2 psi or just went to straight 3 psi when you held your service brake down?
I was told that our releasing the brake and waiting for our 1st min is old, we just hold our feet on the brake and say now at this I should not lose no more than 3 psi instead of doing it twice
I'm not doubting Mr. B, my instructor states that the 2psi we don't say anymore, just losing 3psi only is what we say now. I have memorized everything about the bus and the brake test watching Mr. B
That is awesome!
Hey brother, I just want to thank u. Thank u for being down to earth. Thank u , for explaining the pre trip the way u have. Notes are a plus! I watched your video probably 5x last night. Went to Lebanon TN took the state pre trip and will be adding my Passengers endorsement tomorrow. If it had not been for the knowledge you've shared. I would have failed!!! Again appreciate yuh brother 👊🏼🙏🏼🚌
How’d it go?
This is good information if you want to get your CDL
I went back to watch some of your older vehicles to see the difference in your weight. And boy what a difference. Keep up the hard work. Looks good 👍🏽
Welcome back!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video to help and encourage others. Im in the process of interviewing and have been sent an employment offer letter, but still have to go through testing (drugs/medical, etc) and then training... but these videos help me to be mentally prepared for what's really important during training. Not gonna lie: it all seems so overwhelming, but I remind myself I'm a fast learner (with a history of properly absorbing vast amounts of training info). It's just always "scary" going into a new field. So, again, thank you for your time, Sir.
Thank you sir for your content…. I’ve been driving buses for only two years but I am starting at a new bus company and is forced to go through the pre trip inspection formally. Your video has helped me tremendously and I appreciate you much sir
Thanks for this it’s not only helpful but entertaining.
Glad it was helpful!
Hey thank you! I have to do my airbrake test again after many years. Your video is really helpful. Thank you again. Hope you have a great day!
Thank You 🥰🙏 for all your help with ur acronyms I remembered my tires and pretrip air brakes before this I felt so dumb lol I played your videos everywhere I go now I feel prepared
Hey Mr. B, I passed my inspection using your system, I had to use the night park because the pop up test required it on the bus that I was using, and I passed, just wanted you to know. I didn't pass on the alley dock though, I did the straight back and the onset great. Thank you Mr. B for your training being on here when I needed to keep up. I lost my position though since I went twice and didn't get, and because I went off on my instructor, they said i was unteachable. I will do it though that alley dock is something, haven't done it in a while, and it's gonna take practice. I was not anxious though, just backwards. Dougetta Oliver
Bahahahah
Thank you!
He is good he breaks it down
Im saying everything word for word, hoping to pass my cdl pre trip test
Forgot to remove ya chocks after air test
You teach better then my teacher 😮
Truck 🛻 Bus 🚌 TruckBus. I love it 😍
Thank you 🤗
Thank you thank you so much really good video
Mr. B, I have been watching you on the bus pre inspection and I have been able to memorize everything that I need about the bus, I have the brake system memorized already the way you showed me but my instructor states that the brake release holding for 1 min and losing air no more than 2 psi has been eliminated and they don't use it anymore, and I should just say when I put my foot on the break to say now as I hold my foot on the break I should not lose no more than 3 psi. Are you up to date on this? He says he wants me to pass and I believe I will with the method you have shown us on RUclips, and I want to follow this, bit my instructor is going to give me a hard time if I don't do and follow what he says. I can't follow yours here, but I have it down pat the way you have taught. Initially when I finished my class the first week, it was only 5 of us, the other 4 went out I had to stay back and study the whole week while they went out, mind you I have my Class A, I hadn't even taken my written test for Passenger endorsement yet but they were able to go out, I failed twice, but the third time I passed. So I looked on RUclips to find a pre inspection video of a bus and I saw you, so I have been following your system ever since, and I memorized the bus this way, I took a picture of your engine and I took a picture of our engine, and memorized our engine as well following your system. Thank you for being on RUclips when I needed the information just to keep up with my class. Dougetta Oliver
Thank you 🙏
As you were talking about the gages and the switches panel, you did not show what is what which is very important to us students. Lol, all else is great but the camera needs to show at what you are pointing out when speaking about the gages n control pannel.
Mr. B where are you from or where are you located I would love to meet you
Mr. B, what about the rear door interlock brake? When that rear door is open, in DRIVE gear/ parking brake off, does the bus move, or not?
