I remember listening to your advice about starting a podcast 2 years ago Pat. Now I have a global brand, a new income and so much more , all from a simple podcast. I will never be able to repay the gratitude I have towards all your help, not just for me but the thousands of others you inspire . #teamflynn.

1. Understand who’s for 2. Write down until episode 25 3. Pitching to others, to connect and figure out. 4. Busssprout (?) 5. Start recording, you learn on the go.
I started my podcast 5 years after watching your videos. Timid yes, But thank you for all of your episodes, you helped me commit through constant informative content. Thank you Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Already after the first 4 episodes I have had 14 people reach out to be on.! it is shaping itself, because I started. YOU RULE Pat. You are a Mentor!
100% Thanks Pat! I think another huge crucial point in making sure that a podcast is successful is making sure you connect with your niche. It's very hard to get traffic to your podcast and even if you do try paid ads, one of the best thing you can do is actually engage with your community. Put links to your podcast in all of your social profiles and connect with other podcasters, podcast guests, comment on other people's comments, etc. Besides paid traffic, this has been one of the biggest contributions to my podcast's growth.
You are SUCH a teacher to us. My wife and I are in preproduction for our podcast on sexuality&relationships. We've compiled 55 podcast topics for episodes, have interviews recorded, and are settling on the right structure. As soon as we move into our new home this weekend we are beginning our episode recordings! Your channel is one of our main sources of advice & learning and we thank you for it!
Wow pat , #5 is me for sure, got a website , RUclips channel , Twitter and Instagram accounts and now want to start a podcast but your right , who would listen but im gonna just do it and start!
I recently received my Clergy License & I’m currently a Beauty College Instructor. I’m so glad I found you because I’m ready to become better in the Beauty Industry / Spiritual Community using a Podcast.
Hi Pat DjSkoob here. Great advice. Your right about meeting new people and learning new thing everyday. Ive met you, other supportive podcasters, and more! Its an amazing journey that i started with you as my teacher. You all have the abilities to start something amazing like me, like Pat you just need to start! I Can, I Am , I Will , And im doing it TODAY!!
I think we failed as a podcast. We we sold everything we owned in the USA and moved out the country. My family have been living abroad for 4 months now and don't think we're going back. We're vlogging our journey on our channel. Thanks pat for another awesome video. You truly are an inspiration to many of us amateurs!
Thank you for these tips! The last one really hit home. I've been wanting to start a podcast but I'm getting in my own head and coming up with excuses. Your story helped give me a bit of confidence to move forward.
Solid video bro, super helpful 5 points that everyone needs to know about podcasting before they get started.... You know your stuff! Keep it up legend.
Thanks Pat! I started my Authentic Action podcast in 2020 and then belly flopped after about 20 episodes. I am gonna give it another go, with more focus and intention this time. I appreciate the tips and encouragement.
I just started my Podcast last mounth and I'm with Buzzsprout and it is easy thank you Pat Flynn so much im just beginning and i really love it especially that I love to talk. My family joined me in our podcast. And soon i will be on youtube. If any of you want to support our podcast Thee Talkers podcast..
Let's say you do start a podcast (been there - stopped because i became a father and didnt have time). Want to start again. But I always wondered - how do you even get feedback? How do your listeners get to you?
Hey PBKB! You get feedback by asking other podcasters, your listeners and maybe even some close friends that will be honest with you. Study yourself as well. See what you liked about the show / interview and see what needs improvement. You can always leave your email in the show notes. Does this help? :)
Thank you Mr. Pat for your tips. I know in my heart I was born to do my own podcast, but there are so many hurdles I have (nerves, no social media at all, etc). Any advice for the nervous and scared?
I’m thinking to start a video podcast but I’m trying to find the best content. I love talking about movies and tv series. Anyone have advice. And thanks for your videos
How is the buzzsprout API? I'm about to develop a podcast related SaaS and need to pick the first publishing service to integrate with - don't want to start with the largest ones so we can grow the user base slowly to scale easily
This is my problem, I want to start, but all I have is a phone and laptop. I don't want a video podcast just audio and everyone seems to be pushing for video podcasts and I think there should be room for us who don't feel comfortable showing our face. I thought I could start on my phone, but now Spotify got rid of anchor... Is there another platform I can use that will allow to record on my phone?
Can you help with either of two issues I have? I have a ASHLY Digimix24 from which I can't get sound to my computer. Otherwise, I'm wondering if I should start posting to RUclips or establish my website first.
Hi Julian! Start doing research on how to build email lists. Or maybe do paid advertising. Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you want to share it on social?

Love the walk on intro! I'm gonna try that. Problem is getting the audio to sound right on the move!

Real question Pat, how was your first episode you ever released 12 years ago?
You gotta be a disaster before you become the master
