    I camped here in August 2023 and it was great. Many sites and probably 10 campers. That is my kind of camping-:) There are a lot of sites. I was at site 56 or 65.

    You have the most practical and informative videos for Ohio camping on RUclips! This will save untold miles of scouting and leg work. Thank You!

      Wow, thanks! In preparation for retirement I watched many thousands of hours of RUclips videos to help us decide where we wanted to camp. It was a bit frustrating sifting through all the extraneous fluff contained within many RUclips Channels. This is precisely why I launched our RUclips Channel. Feedback like yours is much appreciated and encourages me to keep producing similar content. Safe travels. Lou

      I hear that there is water in all the Jesse Owens campgrounds now, am I correct in that assumption?

    This one of the 5 AEP/Jesse Owens campgrounds is my favorite. The best spots are sometimes hard to get since it is first come, first serve, even coming mid-week.

    seems latly campgrounds are getting crowded and more expensive no doubt due to increase demand, if it is free it is harder to get. seems like a little nice park

    Do you know if gas-powered generators are allowed here? And/or did you notice anyone running one while you were there? Thanks!

      All the information I captured during the visit is either in the video or in the written video description on RUclips. Don't recall at this point in time.

    Why does it say in the state sute there is only 4 campsites? It sounds like there is more than 4. So how many sites are there. Wanna do tent camping.

      Not sure what you are referring to, but my video surely speaks for itself. There are far more than 4 campsites at this campground. Thanks for watching. Lou

      Thank you! Yes on their website it says there is only 4 sites. Then when I called the ohio state park main number the seemed clueless about the camping. Lol! Thanks for letting me know. I will be going. Can you take a boat on the water? Is it allowed?

    • @crabtrap
      @crabtrap 2 года назад

    This used to be a nice place to camp,we went there for years,but now the state took over Dewine wiped out camping spots and put in a sidewalk were we used to camp.This sidewalk was one of the most stupid ideas he has done.

      At least the camping here is still free, the trend is to convert these free camping gems to for fee camping. Lou

    As a AA camper. This state park RV sites are not up to par. Come on Ohio do better. Jesse Owens put Ohio on the map during the Olympics.

      This park was made possible by reclamation through Ohio Power. That's why is is free so in that sense the unique camping locations that comprise Jesse Owens State Park are not comparable to any other Ohio State Park campground. Lou
