- ME, FRANK HORRIGAN, THAT'S WHO.
This video is only missing TWO of Frank Horrigan's lines of dialogue:
"You mutant scum! Just like you to try a trick like that. It won't help you though, nothing will now."
"Dumping the F.E.V. toxin into our air doesn't make you a hero. You're just another mutant that needs to be put down."
If anyone has any idea on how to get Frank Horrigan to say these two lines, please please please leave me a comment or PM me. I AM OBSESSED WITH TALKING HEADS!
Frank Horrigan doesn't need a Terrifying Menace perk.
He IS the Terrifying Menace

We gonna talk about the fact that the 10ft tall cyborg supermutant experiment is calling the chosen one a mutie
I doubt Frank ever saw himself as a mutant.
@@jackson2531 he also isn't a product of the FEV that created the master's army and is partially machine, so that has some merit
Why? the chosen one isn’t a mutant or a ghoul
@@savage_after_7708 in one of the endings he is
@@savage_after_7708 also made this joke a while ago when i first got into fallout in general so i probably just didnt understand how endings worked
The line “Your ride’s over mutie, time to die.” Just hits so fucking hard like damn
The was he says "Time to die" was always badass
Yes
And terrifying
Time to die
You're not a hero. You're just a walking corpse.
"Time to die," is a really common phrase. Armed thugs in the Arkham games say it when they spot you during predator encounters and you can say it to Benny when you confront him at the Tops in NV.
You know you're fucked since Talking is one of the most powerful weapons in all of Fallout but Frank just won't have any of it.
You could literally convice the master of commiting suicide. I consider that the most cannon ending imo.
It's also more roundabout and requires more time and effort. Only reason I figured it out at all in my first playthrough was, probably, trying to do everything, or sheer luck.
But Frank Horrigan takes the phrase "talking to a brick wall" to the most literally interpretation.
Pacifist based players will die at this part of the game.
@@atlasguytinyproductions55 Just get Granite squad to take care of him
@@CallMeMimi27 well no, you dont convince him to commit suicide, you explain to him why his plan wouldnt work, the master is really smart after all, and did truly believe in a better world, and realizing all the harm he did was ultimately for nothing, he doesnt forgive himself for it
Man the enclave and cool voices.
colonel Autumn and his country accent
Frank Horrigan and his voice that rivals Shao Khan's voice
And the legendary drill Sergeant Arch Dornan's angry yelling that was the best part of the game.
And the Enclave had a mutant in power armor as their Liberty Prime.
Hey don't forget the Enclave Radio Technician with his passive aggressive attitude and his famous line "Enclave Here"
Nothing will ever beat Lou Tenant's voice.
@@DerLamer to be fair, who can beat Tony Jay at the voice acting game? Besides Tim Curry or something.

Frank Horrigan is more intimidating than Doom Eternal's Marauder because there is actual substance to his speech, and he IS getting a point across even in death.
That's probably because giving the demons meaningful things to say was the last thing ID wanted to do. So we just get a bunch of disposable schmucks that were butthurt that a human was allowed into the ranks of the Knight Sentinels
Yeah, because DOOM Eternal is a game where the player is meant to be the intimidating badass. The Marauder's speech isnt intimidating because thats what they wanted
@@jeremyallen492 Exactly, yeah. I emjoy Fallout and Doom almost equally, but they are very different games. Fallout is way darker, story/character driven RPG while DOOM is the opposite never really had a story, its just pure violence against 2 dimensional villians. They both are exceptional in their own ways. Fallout makes us scared, and question our morals. Doom makes us smile while killing mustache twirling villians
@@wolfi13013 it's stupid that they'd put so much effort into the lore and then turn around and write the villains as one dimensional bozos
@@jeremyallen492 Like I said. I didnt play doom because i wanted to have a Legate Lanius-esque arguement with the marauder. I played it to beat the shit out of him, which is also why a lot of other people play it aswell. The lore is merely just an explanation of stuff for people who REALLY wanna know stuff. Its a way to tidy up some plot holes, and provide a story for those who seek it. Thats why the plot is in Codex entries aswell. Doom players dont wanna know the plot. Hell, thats the reason theres a big ass sign saying "Hold R to skip" when you start the game. The cutscenes? Mostly just doomguy being a badass, to further push the power fantasy. Doom is a complete power fantasy. It doesnt need complex villains.
Holy shit. I just realized this was Michael Dorn. I feel really stupid now.
Holy mother of god
Really? I could tell right off the bat. I kept expecting to shout "I AM WEASEL!" any second.
Frank Horrigan = Darth Hulk
Actually,that's pretty accurate.
Your white blood cells when foreign bacteria enters the bloodstream :
Goddamn, he's scary. Like genuinely terrifying.
The way Frank calls the player and his friends “Muties” makes me think that Frank is probably insecure about his current state of being a mutant himself
To Enclave is eyes, everyone that was exposed to the radiation is a mutant
I don't think so. He is brainwashed by the Enclave and loyal to them so he doesn't even think of himself as a mutant. He thinks of himself as a loyal servant to the US government and will do everything in his power to fulfill their goals, in this case - exterminating the mutant race. He perfectly represents the depraved genocidal and warmongering nature of the US government. He perfectly represents the "brawn" of the US government and President Dick Richardson does the same with the "brain".
I fear no man, but that thing.
It scares me.
What a true American hero
Frank Horrigan and Legate Lanius are the most terrifying and interesting characters in all of fallout universe
So does the rest of the Enclave. Good to see you're still alive. We got... an issue at our hands that require your assistance.
Thank's for helping our vault in Fallout shelter............wait didn't the enclave murder vau- {RADIO STATIC}
Ever boss : ok fine we can talk this down
Frank horrigan: time for talk is over
"Cant speech check your way out of this one boy".

He's really got a killer's aura; something you'd feel in the presence of a murderous extremist. I love it.
Like those that did in Hall in Russia?
@@SeriousDragonifynot cool at all dude. Unless you are that weirdo terrorist lover which will explain a lot.

@ 0:33 stunning voice acting and such a daunting quote.
The scariest part of the video was the double negative at 0:57
Be gone nerd
No shit, almost all of the enclave talk in this bizarre pastiche of American accents
This is a perfect example of a villain shining more than the hero or should I say "walking corpse". This guy is a menace 💀
Imagine how awesome it would have been in New Vegas, if Frank Horrigan were still alive, after you side with the Enclave to reclaim Hoover Dam; when Lanius comes over to you trying to talk tough; Frank Horrigan appears behind him and absolutely mauls him.
"You got a lot farther than you should have, Courier. But you haven't met Frank Horrigan 2.0, either. You're going to die with the rest of these fruity tribals. Right. Now."
They should explore Frank Horrigan more in some next Fallout. Timeline wouldn't be a problem, seeing that they go back and forth. And besides, there's no bigger badass in the series than Frank "SEMPER FI" Horrigan (except the Legendary Chosen One who soloed him with Unnarmed)
Horrigan would not and cannot work with the courier, as cool as the concept is. He views all non enclave humans as mutants to be killed and is mentally unstable to boot.
@@4f52 He had only actually been his super mutant self for about 3 years before he was killed, so that’d be quite hard to input
I can just imagine him showing up in burnt or battered Power Armor. After staring at you for a few moments with the Remnants by your side, he then goes and proceeds to clean up the remaining Legionaries in the area.

Dom Vezina yeah they didn't even get the enclave armor right
New Vegas is the true sequel to Fallout 2.

I think it's ok to tell someone when you're on an oil-rig in the middle of nowhere and facing a reactor-core meltdown...
I love that he can't be talked down. Every other villain can be talked down. Even Lanius who, by everything we hear about him, should be the same as Frank. No interest in talking.
But I guess that just keeps Frank special. He was the most lethal thing, other than player characters and Liberty Prime, to walk the wastes. Even Lanius was just a man with a knife when you stack him up against Frank Horrigan. He can be scared, he can be made to doubt his objective. Frank will do what he's told to his dying breath.
I love Frank so much, I made my armor in Fallout 4 based around his armor in Fallout 2
Advance MK II Enclave power armour
Finally, I found my intruder alarm
I feel like we aren't talking enough about the Chosen One seeing this in front of him, taking the threat in, and choosing to challenge him anyway
And the fact that this is the worse thing he fought
Frank's last 2 dialogue lines? Not sure how trigger them but,try talking to the main researcher in this base, make him understand that all their plans with the FEV project is wrong (speech check needed, high intellingence also, I think 8 will do), after that, you will receive an antiFEV innoculation, you will not die of the FEV sent in the air by this researcher. This might work, never tried it myself but,the last dialogue you are looking for seems that has anything to do with what I described here

0:36 "You talk the talk but can you walk the walk" Am i missing something or did they put a Full Metal Jacket reference in the game?
Fallout 2 is kind of loaded with references.
It's an absurdly common phrase
You clearly haven't played Fallout 2. The game is LOADED with pop culture references, and it's great.

Because the Enclave considered everybody with even the slightest amount of mutations to be a mutant, which pretty much means everybody who wasn't born in a Vault or on the Enclave oil rig.
