You certainly had an adventure just getting to Berlin. I ran Berlin last year and even though I am not running this year, this video gets me excited again! Looking forward to watching this Berlin series. Good luck on Marathon Day if you don't post again before then!

gotta say, Berlin is rather crowded this time of the year. marathon weekend plus huge trade fair, so even in a big city like Berlin the better hotel option are rather scarce. 300€ for a crappy room is brutal.

MILES is a german car sharing company, it semms to be a hobby for some Berliners to remove the lower part of the E. Actually, you see more MILFS than MILES now.

I did run the Berlin marathon in the 80s, the year the Colombian guy won, Berlin from what I can see on your video, has changed a lot and not in a good way....Take a look at the Mont Blanc marathon if you are interested in something different....not quite as flat as Berlin but I assume being from Florida flat becomes boring quite quickly.
@@LiberaTeTutemetExInferis Yeah, I imagine it’s changed quite a lot since the 80s! I would love to do a mountain race, but training for it seems like a big challenge!

Hotel during the marathon are so expensive. I used to go to the Messe in Frankfurt twice a year. The hotel price was 300 % more during the exhibitions. I used to sleep way out of the city and pay normal prices.
@@i.p2088 I thought it would be worth it to be so close to everything, but it’s so bad that I’m second guessing that decision.
Which size are you in the Pro 3? Pro 4 same last? Same toebox? I am TTS in the Pro 3 but had to go up half a size in the SL2 because of the toebox.. ❤️
@@i.p2088 I’m my normal size (US13) in the Pro 3. I think I’ll be the same in the Pro 4. I also wear the same size in the SL2. 🤷🏻♂️

That's a long travel day. I had a 7-hour flight and 2 train rides to get to Inverness yesterday. Not as bad as your itinerary.
