Perimeter Defense is trash and has been for some time. The ball clips through people and there's literally an invisible force field that prevents you from bodying up on people. I play on ball defense but I realized that people play off ball defense because the computer gets bumping animations that users rarely get. I wouldn't even mind if I got called for a blocking foul on occasion but there's little to no contact especially on the perimeter. So why wouldn't someone just play with the center on defense and dare you to beat the cpu? There's no incentive to play on ball defense. I'm not saying everyone should be Gary Payton but damn
Exactly, and some of us get called out for it. At times, it seems there is only so much personal flare you can play with it. Our personal playstlyes seem to have to take a backseat to what is required to win because of how we play and manipulate the controls.
I need to know why so many contested shots go in consistently and I mean contested like 70% and better going in with regularity?! I think HOF sliders take away from game simulation ability.

I played 2k15 on a PS3 for more than 12 years now and I recently Upgraded to PC. 2k15 in PS3 is much better than any NBA 2k now you can play strong fair defense there and also play a great offense, even the textures of the skin in 2k15 is much better than new gen once. I hope 2k25 will fix this gameplay 😅

I’m literally winning right now 143 to 95 with 5 mins left in the 4th and I think I hate this game more than any game I have ever played in my entire life. No game has ever made my blood boil and I am an avid dark souls fan as well as a huge The Show player. So I enjoy another sport game as well as an incredibly difficult game. And it’s not even like I’m losing. I’m 13-0 in my current season and I seriously fucking hate this game. It’s not fun, defense just feels non existent. Even when I first popped it in and was playing on rookie I immediately had this feeling of the game being absolute bullshit
On custom “realistic” sliders I end up having a close first quarter and then begin to pull away after that. Had a few 30 point victories. But can’t stop their star player from scoring at will it seems.

On default Pro sliders (and even some custom ones) I am getting like 30/20 with some elite players. But the other team also has one player that torched me every game. Playing in the 83 season and Mark Aguirre leads the league in PPG (5 games in) at 32 ppg. I played him, and he went off for like 40 on me. Contested shots going in. Somehow getting wide open on other plays that I don’t get. Still won the game big, but it would be nice to shit down some top players on occasion.

What can happen on this play as far as what can the offense do? 🤔 I really would like to know your opinion since you as the “On Ball defender” is going to be solely focused on the person in front of you.
Other tips: Low energy players have a lesser chance of pulling these off A player with more strength can overpower you in the post regardless. So success is less likely. Sub regularly, and watch matchups
