    I never considered using these colors or blending using these techniques combined. Lavish. Now to watch the last process. May be years old, but my first view and so wonderful . To little. Just what the doctor ordered...

    Thank you for bringing me to this video from the other one. I really appreciate it. This piece is lovely and loved the detail instructions on how to dry blend. I've been watching a few other painters and most of the time they blend with water. So now I understand how you achieved the finished look on the piece behind you w/the flower embellishments. Couldn't figure out how they had all the colors going on especially if those were created using clay & were blending w/water or somehow distressing it. Can't wait to try this technique. Love the dogs popping in for a cameo, they are darling.

I'm so excited I finally found you, the creator of that piece! Yay 😁 and I'm extra excited that you explain things in such detail and I can follow along. Yoohoo! Lol just wanted to say you're awesome and hopefully I can paint my piece with this technique you're teaching.

      @@BellaRenovare I'm a boho freak so I'm drawn to color. My home is being put together in a colorful bohemian look so painting furniture with layeres and blending is something I want to achieve. Unfortunately the chalk and mineral paints are a bit too pricey for my budget hints why I'm going to try it with acrylic paint. I will definitely have a water bottle handy when trying this method out. Again I'm so glad i discovered your videos on my hunt! Lol i will keep watching and I'm following you now with the notification bell on. 😁 I'll let you know how my painting goes real soon.

    Hi i just happened to stumble on to your channel. I've been trying to teach myself (with the help of these tutorials) how to chalk paint/upcycle furniture. I love all the diff artists' styles and appreciate the levels of difficulty. However, your videos have been so helpful explaining some basic concepts that yield beautiful results. For example pairing the moonshine metallics with the proper base coat, how to eliminate brush strokes, using white wax on raw wood, blending...
    I love dixie belle products, however you were the first to explain the proper use of them. Oh the use of Gator hyde on top of transfers came a week too late. I used it on a chair seat on top of a transfer already. I hope it will work out bc my husband took it to our daughter in college...but good to know for the future. Thanks so much!! Now I need to go workout! Patty

    I will give this a try asap! I have a dark blue piece I just painted. I think a dark purple and maybe another blue maybe a shape lighter than my dark blue would work to start this technique off right. If I do it right I can share with you what it looks like afterwards. Thank you so much!

    l just watched the piece you did the aurora borealis on. Somehow this process seems a LOT more complex. Also, it seems like you could skip the first steps and go straight to the mottling.. ?

    • @BellaRenovare

    When you do these types of finishes, you might want to tell a beginner to learn some color theory and get a color wheel to understand what you mean by "like colors" "complimentary colors" and "analogous colors". You might even get a color wheel out yourself and show them on camera. :) Just a thought.

    • @BellaRenovare
      @BellaRenovare  3 года назад +3

      thanks for the tip! I have a color wheel video I can probably just link them to, this was one of my first videos so I learn something new with each video. That's a great suggestion!! Thank you.
