Brought back some memories of good days I've had at Llanderfel many years back, beautiful river' fished it regular in the day, also the Llangollen beat. 12years or more since I fished it.
So, Eoin Campbell, this is the venue for your annual meet up for the past four years, eh? It is also the venue for my annual meet up with five friends, all from the Midlands, for the past four years as well. How profoundly coincidental is that? We go in June / July. We're just back from fishing the same Llanderfel beat and a beat upstream below the weir, as well as the Crogan Estate. There were a couple of days with a big hatch of olives and, TBF, we've never had the river fish so well. Caught some nice grayling up to 2lbs and the trout were exceptionally active (for a change). Maybe see you on the bank one day. ATB.
That’s a great comment and indeed how coincidental, John. I’ve not been to Llandderfel for a few months but will as the summer holidays arrive. And yes, it’d be great to meet up and chin-wag a while… share flies (as intend to always give mine away!😉🎣) Keep safe and tight lines, my friend 👌
