    My amaryllis bloom whenever they want to, no schedule here. It is nice to enjoy their blooms later in the winter, I think that I appreciate them more. ❄️⛄️🎄💚🙃

    I'm with you on having amaryllis bloom after Christmas. I'd also like to see a winter garden tour and info on creating different habitats. It would be great to have a tour of the plants in your plant room, too!

    Welcome back Soleil , i’ve been growing my amaryllis bulbs to bloom in January and February because there’s nothing much to look at that time of year and Amaryllis blooming around Valentines Day are a delight and so beautiful. At Christmas 🎄 my living areas are heavily decorated with holiday decor and I don’t have space for Amaryllis to really enjoy and appreciate. I’ve been doing it like that for years . I will watch whatever content you want to put out , I got a lot more free time this time of year. Happy holidays

    It's nice to see you and happy to hear that you and your family are well. I'm in the same camp with you - I intentionally want my amaryllis bulbs to bloom after Christmas when most of the decorations and lights are put away. That way they get the attention they deserve without competing with the glory of the Christmas tree. Not sure if you've ever done a video on public gardens to visit in the Michigan area?

    So good to see you this morning. I'm glad you are well. I appreciate your videos and have missed them. I'd love for you to share about your winter garden and how it supports wildlife in the winter months. I have a rabbit living under my honeysuckle hedge and I've tucked lots of dry leaves around the bottom for her. I'd also love to see some of your favorite garden books and some seed starting too. I have some native aster seeds that I want to winter sow this year because I think they need a cold period to germinate. Happy holidays to you and your family.

    I've missed you! I understand though. I really do enjoy your content, and have learned a lot from you. I also wait to do my amaryllis as well. I enjoy them in January. I haven't gotten mine potted up yet. I had 2 in my yard, and I bought 2 more. Can't wait! I have a white, a pink, a red pearl, and a red with white stripes. I'm interested in the things you've done in the past, like seed starting videos. Maybe some indoor plant videos. I'm terrible with indoor plants. The fungus gnats have been a problem for me in the past too, and I think it was the amaryllis.

    Winter interest garden tours sound great! Also, would you tell us what your plans are for spots in your garden this year as you walk us through it? I will start winter sowing on the winter solstice one week from today; do you do any winter sowing? Getting excited for seed growing season!

    Welcome back! I'd like to see winter interest tours. Do you force any other bulbs? I'm trying hyacinth this year. My amaryllis always blooms after Christmas usually because I for get to bring them out of dormancy in time. I agree it gives you something to look forward to in January!

    Hi, I have never managed to keep an Amaryllis bulb from one year to the next. Maybe I have not given them enough sun. I have two new ones which should be in flower by Christmas. Next year I will do them later, like you for January. I would love to see winter tour videos. 😊😊😊

    I don't grow those because I have indoor cats. But they are beautiful. I would love to see winter sowing, seed collection and winter tour videos. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁

    I haven’t put up our Christmas tree yet 🥺 because my houseplant collection has grown throughout the year I had to find a spot to move the plants so I can put the tree up. I FINALLY got my plant grow room set up so now I have room for the tree 👏🏻 I have a feeling that it’s going to stay up through January this year 🤭🤗❄️⛄️🎄💚🙃

    Glad you're back! And what better way than to start with an amaryllis video. I'd love to see your Winter Garden. A video on your indoor plants would be nice and of course amaryllis updates. What is the variety of your new amaryllis? An amaryllis you brought in some time ago had some damage to one side and I believe you potted it up anyway. I'm wondering how that did. Did it grow leaves and bloom? I brought in some with insect damage that I'm hoping will make it.

    • @Suburbanoasis
      @Suburbanoasis  7 часов назад

      The new amaryllis didn't say the variety on the box, but it is a red and white one, looks like it will be really pretty. And yes they damaged amaryllis did bloom! I am probably not reporting it though this year along with a couple others because I have so many!

      @tonijane8243 6 часов назад

      @Suburbanoasis I'm sure it will be lovely and I'm glad the damaged one bloomed! There is hope for mine then

    personally, im the kind of guy that goes searching out solutions to specific questions i have on various videos, depending on what issues im having at the moment.. whereas, channels i subscribe to, are usually ones that i just happen to enjoy the company of, so to speak.. in other words, im not really studying to be a sumo wrestler, when i go to this sumo stable channel that i sub to, but theres just something about the sumos in that stable that i kind of like, and i like to see what goes on with them, and learn a little about sumo along the way, sure, but its mostly to be in the atmosphere of those particular sumos.. same with the few bonsai channels i sub to, and gardening channels.. in other words, you could read christmas poems for all i care, or dress earthworms in tiny christmas samurai outfits, while giving your thoughts on the pros and cons of living in the underworld.. one of my most memorable videos youve done was when you were just cleaning your front porch a few years ago.. as for my garden, its slowely maturing and growing into itself, losing cedars and junipers one by one to whatever mysterious forces abide.. im always in a bit of limbo when it comes to my love of natural forces at work, and trying to force my vision and will onto things, so in a way i like what goes on out there with things i dont fully understand, and occasionally i go to war with moles, or those grubs that moles eat.. never too sure what kind of battles are worth fighting really, so i just go on my whims in most cases, which if youre wanting any advice from me, is what you should do too, when it comes to making vids or not.. if i spend too much time plotting my battle plans in life, ill become a kind of crossed eyed war demon, and the world will just wind up a smoking mess, so luckily i have my smoking dress i can lounge around in, and allow the more creative, nurturing and peaceful forces shine through, while listening to some jazz and sipping coffee.. what am i, but a mere man.. its not my place to interfere with what goes on in the heavens.. only to enjoy the rays and rains that inevitably come as the earth asks for it in its own good time and space and wisdoms
