Hey I'm in the middle of a protection mode issue on my QRX , is it ok to plug it in to be able to check a live protection board with the power amp board out
Hey! Yeah, I did that when I first got the unit to try and narrow down where the issue was, and to check voltages at certain points. What's yours doing? Will it come out of protection at all? or is it cycling on and off?
@@TinkeringWithT relay doesn't engage at all replaced it along with the snubber , still nothing checked relay out the board and works fine , just ordered new transistors and caps for the board ,
@@Nothereneverwas69 Great! Hopefully that gets it working again! Mine did the same thing when I first got it. Try pulling the power amp board and firing it up to see if the relay engages. If it doesn't, I'd assume that theres an issue on that protection board. If it does engage, it's possible that there is an abundance of DC offset at one of the speaker terminals so it's just trying to protect the speakers. When I have time, I'm definitely going to re-cap the whole unit, and replace transistors.
