Sansui QRX-5500 Quad Receiver - Four Channel

Here's another of the quad receivers I have, I have 2 of these. I like this series over the QRX-7,8 & 9001 because IMO, their better. The sound is about the same and with good speakers the power is comparable, I know some disagree. I look at it this way, the receiver is in your home/Apt and you have the speakers to back up the power but really, just how loud can you turn it up before you go deaf. The problem with the 7001, 8001 & 9001 is connections, you have too few, one quad tape and one quad aux, big deal, my sound card has more then that, (and my car stereo) I can hook up two tape decks (play&rec) with this and also two quad playback units like quad 8 track players. I can also hook up my quad turntable, that's a heck of lot more then the others for less then half the cost and good power, after all, I'm not trying to shatter windows and I can crank this and still hear it 2 blocks away with the windows open in my home, anyways, enough of that, you don't need 50000 watts in a house/apt, that's my point.
