- This was the fourth installment of our Steps to Christ reading challenge. I sat down with "mystery guest"... Ty Gibson to discuss chapter 3. This was so much fun and the time flew right by us. Yeah, it's long, but it was really, really good!
Steps to Christ was written by prolific author Ellen White in 1892. It is one of the most translated books ever, having been translated into more than 100 languages. It is also one of the top five most influential books in my life personally, and is a book I've read through more times than any other.

So inspiring...it brought to my mind Phil Wickham's song "Behold"...by beholding Him and His indescribable Love we are drawn and renewed daily.

Thank you Hector! For a good explanation. Sometimes I have hard time understanding Ty’s “language”. I looked back into some of his comments in other sermons and found the blessing of God in seeing where Ty’s resources come from. BRILLIANT!

I need a link to those “Repentance” tracts. Is there also a booklet containing “The Origin of Evil” from Great Controversy? That chapter is absolutely fantastic.

Meeting Jesus for the first time in heaven and asking Him: Who are You?
Is this the same as “there is other ways to be saved beside trough Jesus Christ”? This is a page from pope Francis book.
There is this quote in de Desire of Ages. He might be refering to this.
Those whom Christ commends in the judgment may have known little of theology, but they have cherished His principles. Through the influence of the divine Spirit they have been a blessing to those about them. Even among the heathen are those who have cherished the spirit of kindness; before the words of life had fallen upon their ears, they have befriended the missionaries, even ministering to them at the peril of their own lives. Among the heathen are those who worship God ignorantly, those to whom the light is never brought by human instrumentality, yet they will not perish. Though ignorant of the written law of God, they have heard His voice speaking to them in nature, and have done the things that the law required. Their works are evidence that the Holy Spirit has touched their hearts, and they are recognized as the children of God. DA 638.32

Repentance is not a pit, that you should get deeper and deeper. However, its the step you take at first will be seen or its idea be clearer and more appreciated
