    Quad-
-Vastus Lateralis outer thigh, top of femur down across and connects to the patella tendent.
-Vastus Medialis inner thigh, top of thigh, connects to patella tendent
-Vastus Intermedius deep muscle, connects to patella tendent
-Rectus Femoris starts at the top of the hip and come all the way down to the patella tendent, helps flex the hip
    Main Hamstring Muscles
    -Biceps Femoris has two heads
-long head stretches from the sit bone not the fibula, back of leg
-short head runs from back of thing and also connects to the fibula
-Semimembranosus runs form the ischial tuberosity attaches to tibia, more medial
-Semitendinosus runs from the ischial tuberosity attaches to the tibia
    Glutes
-Gluteus Maximus runs from your sacrum and your thoracolumbar fascia comes down and attaches to the Iliotibial Band (connective tissue) and it also connects to the outer thigh
-Gluteus Medius deeper muscles, from the top of the hip bone (illioate crest) comes down and attaches to the outer thigh
-Gluteus Minimus in the outer portion of the hip beneath the glue Medius, also connects to outer thigh.
Adductors- all start from the pubis (inside of the hip) there for stability and control
-Pectineus comes down then across and attaches to the top of the thigh
-Adductor Brevis comes down and attaches below the pectineus
-Adductor Longus attaches under the brevis (longer)
-Adductor Magnus biggest adductor, comes from the pubis and attaches to the inside of your thigh and a little below the inner thigh, making it unique, works as hip extensor
-Gracilis long skinny muscle, connects to the tibia form the pubis
Calves- both muscles help create plantar flexion
Gastrocnemius crosses the knee joint, creating a lateral head and a medial head (medial meaning closer to the center) and they converge and attach to the Achilles tendon
Soleus underneath the gastric, attaches to tibia and your fibula, also attaches to the Achilles tendon
    Bones
-pelvis: on both sides of the body, central bone tying thing together. Has two basic motions, anterior tilt (moving hips forward), and posterior tilt (rolling hips back and underneath)
    -femur: big thigh bone
-Tibia: big lower leg bone, frontal bone in the lower leg
-Fibula: smaller lower leg bone, behind the tibia
    Joints
    - Hip joint: ball and socket joint, allowing for free motion such as flexing, extending, and rotate.
    - Knee joint: condyloid joint, small amount of rotation, can do knee flexion and knee extension

  • @AKLd95
    @AKLd95 10 лет назад +21

He forgot about tibealis muscle which is in front of your calf, it is important to train it if you want to maximise calf hypertrophy, and we all know that calves are stubborn bastards, so ignoring the tibealis is not a good idea if you want to pack on as much meat as possible to your calves.
    Which means:
Gastrocnemius/Soleus hypertrophy = plantar flexion with progressive overload
Tibealis hypertrophy = dorsi flexion with progressive overload
