Re-installed oven door: Thank you for the short, clear and to the point video. I was able to complete all the steps then realized the door was aligned a little high when closing. I repeated one of your steps and voila! It aligned perfectly!
Great video! This is the only one I found on this procedure that tells you that the slot in the bottom of the hinges has to slide over the bottom of the hinge bracket located on the oven. Also, the only one that shows you how to reset the hinge to its proper unlocked position if the hinge lock slips out of the door slot and the hinge retracts inside the door. Best video on this by far, hands down! Thanks so much!

Great video, helped me to fix the loose handle on my Whirlpool electric stove. Here is a tip for folks just wanting to tighten the handle screws, you don't need to take the door completely off, just take off the two off top screws that hold the handle to the door and the handle will come off, you can tighten the two screws that hold the handle to the mounting plate, then just reattach the handle to the door with the two top screws and your all set.

Thanks!! I had a odd circumstance where the original right hinge somehow was totally out of whack. I think the pivot point got bent. Ordered new one - and following your instructions - works perfectly now..
Great presentation. Following your video I managed to change the oven door with a spare one I had in the garage. The handle had come off the present one. The spare one was brand new other than all the electric were blown on the first day we moved in due to the electric company not fully pressing the master fuse in correctly. That caused a power surge and blew all our brand new electric appliances.
I love helpful videos like this. My captain took the door off to clean the inside of the oven (the oven that is on the boat that I work on), then he couldn't figure out how to put the oven door back on. Maybe now he will stop pestering me about using my laptop during my downtime. XD
My oven door wouldn't close after I cleaned it. I have a completely different oven than yours but the hinges have these little locks. This is what happened in hindsight: while I was cleaning it and while the door was open those little locks locked. Well I helped, I saw one was off and I put it back on (It's a long hinge type Hotpoint gas stove no longer in production). Not realizing what I had done I was confused, the door wouldn't shut. Your video helped. How? From watching I knew the locks had something to do with the problem. The door was off now and I was struggling. I was trying to unlock them in vain but then I followed what you did🤔, I put the door on and put the notch in place and the locks were loosened and I slipped them off and voila! the door closed. It's the reverse principal, yes, but I thank you. I'm not a mechanic or engineer but my father was and as children we watched him very carefully fix everything.

Thank you, that was the detail I was missing. I dropped the door removing it and the hinges must have popped into that 90 degree position making it impossible for me to get the door back on.
Grease spell from cooking a turkey. Is it possible grease? Can drop down below the bottom shelf thing on a whirlpool gas oven? Do I need to take the bottom shelf off to check to see if grease has spilled down there or is the oven sealed off and therefore grease could not drip down. There is no grease in the pool out drawer. I cooked a turkey two years ago and I’m afraid to use my oven with the grease even disappear on its own after two years please answer my question thank you.
Question: I want to also take the door apart so I can clean under the glass. Will I be able to reassemble with relative ease? I'm guessing the latches will go closed and make re-assmebly difficult?

FYI -- A large adjustable crescent wrench works even better than channel lock pliers due to the fact that the long handle provides more leverage to pull out the hinge. The crescent when adjusted properly will fit down over the hinge exactly like shown in the video with the pliers.

FYI -- A large adjustable crescent wrench works even better than channel lock pliers due to the fact that the long handle provides more leverage to pull out the hinge. The crescent when adjusted properly will fit down over the hinge exactly like shown in the video with the pliers.
