Chris Stapleton is like no other the voice the way he plays guitar it is pure talent he sure is blessed I would just like to have just a little bit of his talent

I shot this song in January of 2006. I have no idea why he didn't record and release a version. He was a well respected Nashville songwriter at the time but hadn't broken through as an artist yet.

Chris is such a legend-I was so excited to see him perform live at the gorge amphitheater last summer and he was just flawless. Is this an original or a cover? Im assuming he wrote it but I’m surprised it’s not on one of his albums yet?
My guess is that he was not a self promoter and was somewhat happy being a successful songwriter (which he was). It probably didn't occur to him to be a big vocal star. I am reminded that Nat King Cole had to be cajoled into being a pop singer.
