    I was an Earth Science major in college, and took every Geology class offered. Of course I followed the secular “gradualism “ teaching, but never dismissed the Biblical story of the Great Flood. Because of my Eschatological studies I now totally embrace, and espouse, the Genesis account of the Great Flood, and how rapid movement of the Crustal Plates were a great part of the Flood. I would add that the huge amount of Steam (condensing into snow) from the volcanic cracking of the Oceans floor created The Ice Age.

    I've always been a fan of ICR and have been with them almost since the beginning. I always remember reading Acts & Facts when in bible college and being amazed with the evidence presented for the flood. Though I've never doubted the Bible's account it was great to know there was evidence to back it up. I support ICR and I've really enjoyed these recent podcasts. It has been great to hear from the scientists that are part of the organization. They are so intelligent and definitely know their stuff. I know this has been a long comment, but thank you! Is it possible, also, that the mountains pre-flood were not 10s of thousands of feet high so it wouldn't take as much water to cover the highest mountain?

    • @m.r.reeceabob8480
      @m.r.reeceabob8480 2 года назад +8

      Yes the preflood mountains were probably not tens of thousands of feet high. Although, there was still a massive amount of water on the earth to cover absolutely everything. The mountains we see today were likely formed after the flood. This is backed up because we see marine fossils on the highest mountains where sea creatures would never be- a global flood creation view would solve this easily.

      If you had learned to do simple maths, and do simple research, you would realize that there is no scenario where there could ever be enough water to cover all of Earth's land
      Start by imagining an earth where all the landmass was levelled off to even height. The land would be 2700 ft above sea level. Now imagine all the ice melting, now imagine ever bit of underground water coming up above ground. The water in the oceans will still not be even remotely approaching the height of the land
      Where were you going to get all that water????
      Stop with the "creation science", it isn't science, and its an embarrassment to those who actually do believe in God, and Christs message to us.

    • @montyhall-vs3ul
      @montyhall-vs3ul 2 месяца назад

      If you were capable of doing the simplest research, and then some maths, you would realize that even if all the continents on earth were levelled off to the same altitude, all the ice melted, and all the underground water came one top, the sealevel would not reach the top of the land. That altitude would be 2700 ft.. Ice melting, and underground water would raise the SL a few hundred feet
      Btw, nothing substantial has changed in geology since 2350 bc

      You need to go back and see what the scriptures tell us 10And after seven days the floodwaters came upon the earth. 11In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. 12And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights. the fountains of the deep are the key it is fairly well known that there were major upheavals in the earths crust , and the rains would most likely be water that was blasted our from the fountains of the deep . At that stage the plates would have started moving .

      It doesn’t answer the question - if anything makes it worse - but the continental divide didn’t start until well over a thousand years AFTER the flood. Thus the bible says Eber named his son Peleg “because in his day the world was divided.” Also, the Himalayas and Rockies would not have been formed until after the flood

    I'm reading Carved in Stone right now. Very good read. But I have a question that I'm confused about. It says on page 244 that the Catskill Delta and Queenston Delta were deposited during the Tippecanoe and Kaskaskia Megasequence as a result of the crust being drawn down. This rather deep deposit is located on the east coast of the U.S. My question is was there subduction on the east coast as well as the west coast? I thought only the west coast had the subduction since the plate was floating away from the Atlantic continental ridge. Is there a book that describes the subduction process of North America in particular. I'm trying to visualize this. Very good book highly recommend it.

    Ark-Borne Humans and Animals: Exegetical and Geological Notes on Genesis Chapter 7". Love this stuff and how the creationist view has matured in this area over time. Crazy manipulations have to be done to models in the deep time camp, uniformitarianism camps but this is turning into a logical and realistic model more with every year's research and review. Love the new ICR logo and how it relates to the expanding effort to make a creationist biology model, think it's about time, we need more of that in all aspects of God's creation from the scientific perspective as well as the spiritual. But my first love is always going to be with astronomy and geology. Gorgeous, massive, intriguing astronomy - so easy to fall in love with the images of our 'great telescope' age. Great Video ! I've read that coal deposits from all over the world have very similar plant fossils, including what we would call tropical plants. This includes all the way from the polar arctic regions to the equator. That seems to indicate that had to have been similar weather patterns over the whole earth at the time of the flood. I've heard it considered that for that to have happened, the earth would have had to have it's rotational axis vertical instead of shifted it's current 15° angle. Is it possible that the rapid plate tectonics shifted the center of gravity on the earth enough to shift the axis of rotation?

    • @rickandrygel913
      @rickandrygel913 2 года назад +1

      A theory I heard is that the plants floated in a massive group, and the bark would flake off as they rubbed against each other sinking down to become the coal layers. At least for the eastern US and Europe. This log matte would travel over this whole area causing a coal layer then move away causing a mud layer, then move in again for more coal, many times. Which explains why there are many layers of coal and mud on top of each other.
      So if that's true it's hard to say what the climate was like in any region, but there definitely would have been way more plants than there are today.

      The Earth was covered by a cloud (not vapor) canopy that created a giant greenhouse. (“the waters above the expanse.”) That spread the heat equally across the world, so there was the same vegetation in Antarctica and Greenland as the rest of the world. So yes the coal would have the same type fossils everywhere.

  • @waynemorellini2110
    @waynemorellini2110 Год назад

    The cause of plate tectonics is likely to be rotation and impactors. There is ancient history about the sun setting in the opposite direction, and that there was a time before our present moon, and of a smaller original moon which was moved into a lower orbit and shredded and fell to the earth as a string of impactors. That's apparently the historical legends. I have located a series of impacts lined up when adjusted for rotation and orbit over time, which is likely the last flip, which lines up with the geographical north pole movements recorded in alignments of archeological sites over time. If however the earth was tilted at the time, a smaller moon is possible as an original flip, but from my estimates, the mantle anomaly is about the same size and correct distribution for a de-orbiting shredded impactor.
    There is growing scientific evidence of a catastrophe cycle, that involves impactors, electro magnetic and stella interactions inducing geological and volcanic interactions.
    Unfortunately there has been some deliberate misinformation in the past, so it's not obvious the schedule of what will happen and there are multiple different opinions.
    There are a number of overlapping minor event cycles. The main cycle clusters events, similar to those in revelations, and we are due for the next cycle. There is a solar earth scorching event in the cycle. The data seems to be misinterpreted, and the actual event looks to be around 1000 years after the next cluster. The ice core data also appears misinterpreted, and I have been looking at realignment.
    It's hard to recommend channels, due to the confusion from the past misinformation, and current efforts.
    Magnetic Reversal News, and their companion site the Oppenheimer Ranch Project, have scientists looking at some of this. Though, I do not share their conclusions.
    I don't recommend Space Weather News, but they currently are trying to summarise the science of what is happening.
    The channel See the Pattern, examines the science to see which matches the evidence, to determine what happened. What happened in the west coast of South America, is rather shocking, and I think I have a historical reference to it from another distant culture, the signature sound was so great.
    There is a channel called adapt 2030.
    The scientist Doug Voght is a known scientist. Some of his theories are exotic, and his religious views are not compatible with Christianity, I know the source. However, he is a bit of an insider, and has information on government and military efforts concerning this, and has some information on CIA efforts. I don't recommend the channel, I am still assessing his information, but do not share his conclusion. He is a likeable person, but still be careful in assessing things.
    There might be an channel that does things right and has the correct conclusion, but I have not found it yet. If anybody has a correct source, please reply. The official narrative is fatally flawed. Any narrative that says that flips are not practical without destroying the Earth, is flawed, and on a level of cognitive dissonance, of flat earth belief.

    Part of the answer for the water of the flood and where it went was the physics of heat. As the Oceans heated, the water expands. Yes, from a point below 0C to to5C it does copress, but if you heat the water to 15 to 20C there would be some expansion. The water cooling after day 150, it would become more dense, taking less volume. Does not anwer the full question, but does a part of the question.

    The most simple and obvious evidence for a young Earth I can think of-
    The Earth's magnetic poles shifted multiple times in the past.
    The Atlantic ocean floor was made when the continents split.
    As lava cools and turns to rock, the particles inside that are affected by magnets will align in line with the Earth's magnetic field, allowing us to know which way magnetic north was.
    The Atlantic floor has bands where the alignment was messy throughout, suggesting that portion was made while the poles were in the process of shifting. (1000 years in the old Earth model, two weeks in the young Earth model)
    The remaining portion of the Atlantic floor should be uniform in showing which side the poles were on in the old Earth model, but that is not the case. Anywhere a sample is drilled in the Atlantic floor, the majority will point one direction, but there will always be many pockets pointing the opposite direction. The entire floor formed quickly enough, and there was a short enough time period between pole shifts, that the sea floor was not fully cooled by the next pole shift.

      “Most simple and obvious”?
      Nowhere in our natural world is polarity observed. Therefore it is both ridiculous and incorrect to claim that the earth has poles. Polar magnetism is strictly a manufactured force and manufactured spherical magnets do not have polar opposite ends.
      “Volcanoes” are slag heaps/spoil tips. They are manmade. There is no such thing as “magma”. It is all a result of the mining process.
      Earth takes shape like clay under a seal. A circle like a compass. A compass 🧭always points north, the outside ends stretched. The center is south. In the north the compass points towards the closest end of earth. In the south s compass goes berserk because the north surrounds equally all around.

    The foundation of the Earth is the tectonic plates in Genesis chapter 11 we see God doing 2 things separating the people in their language & speech and then the strangest thing we see later on in the same chapter is the earth was dividing meeting that God took the dry ground and separated it. There are many saying it’s gonna happen again when it does the whole world is gonna know.

    The labels beg the question with a presupposition. There is no evidence at all that a biblical "global flood" ever happened, and plenty that it did not. My closest bit of evidence is Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park in northeast Nebraska. Fossil remains from 12 million years ago show no signs of ever having been disturbed by a great flood. If the world is 6000 years old, and a giant flood happened even more recently than that, one would expect to find some mention of this event in the records left by one of the several literate societies in existence on earth within the last few millennia. Not a peep! Answer: there was no global flood caused by plate tectonics or anything else.

I don't know that much about it but stumbled across it recently, because of someone who questions many of the modern 'science' narratives, like climate change, virology, etc. That the earth is expanding like a balloon, and that is why the continents match up, that the water from the flood came from within. I'm not exactly sure on the mechanism, haven't researched that much of it yet.

When these dishonest people pull out the "Creation science" it becomes most hilarious. Think about the hilarious "science" in a mountain covering flood that happens just 4300 years ago, and left just 8 people on earth, many of them related. The comedy here is great. The stark proofs that it didn't happen are all around us
      It takes a very inferior IQ, folks. The funny thing is, Genesis itself indicates what the word "day" means in Genesis. But all these clowns who need to take an ancient creation legend literally, will not literally believe that Bible passage.

    My thoughts on this are as follows.. I do believe that the earth is a flat stationary plane.
    I don’t believe that the flood was caused by plate tectonics.
    I believe the antediluvian world could be described as Pangea, one solid body. The Pangea plate was still intact after the water receded until the time of Nimrod and the Tower of Babel, when GOD confused their tongues and separated the Narions.
    This would explain the similarity of monolithic sites around the world as well as explain how people were able to occupy lands with such distance and obstacles that separated them. Not migration across a Bering Land Bridge…
    Basically GOD broke up Pangea, with individual sections containing Nations of people who were given their own distinct language. But before that time, the people were connected and shared construction and architectural techniques and technology as well as similar markings.

      Macro evolution is presuppositional and interprets everything according to that paradigm even though the origin of the universe and of life cannot happen by materialistic means. The fossils do not support macroevolution. Natural selection can only act on an already existing genome and epigenetic signals. Mutations are destructive. The 2nd law of the thermodynamics crushes evolution. Never has there been a greater hoax in science so called. It is oversimplification and wild extrapolation based on the actual data and its basis is metaphysics not science. Ironically, materialism denies the existence of metaphysics while being in its debt.

      We can see areas of subduction and measure them.

    • @DorianLust
      @DorianLust Месяц назад +1

      Agreed. As an engineer I think Hydroplate Theory is a far better explanation. The "subduction" we see, isn't an ongoing process. When the plates slid and sank, they came to a stop when they crashed into the submerged pacific plate. This pushed up the ring of fire mountains and also pushed down the Pacific ocean plate, which appears as what we see today. But billions of years of ongoing subduction is completely impossible for the crust, the mantle, and based on the sea floor evidence. Watch Brian Nickel's videos if you want a good engineering explanation of hydraulic forces, super critical fluids, and what happens when you release the pressure. No wonder the moon was bombarded on the near side, when it's highly unlikely for meteors to pass earth's gravity well and strike the near side.

    The earth is not 6,000 years old and the Bible does not teach this. Hebrews 4:9-10: "There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his." This tells us that the 7th day has not ended. Thus day 7 is a long time span, thus day 1 to 6 must be a long time span. Each believer are to enter into day 7. Also there no "evening and morning" for the 7th day. As day 7 as not ended. Biblical Hebrew has a limited vocabulary, with fewer words compared to other languages, such as English or Spanish. This means words often have multiple meanings determined by context. Day - yom is commonly rendered as day in English translations, but the word yom can be used in different ways to refer to different time spans thus literally is:
    Sunrise to sunset
    Sunset to next sunset
    Time period of unspecified length. (long time span ).

      Hydroplate Theory is what you're looking for. It describes what God created, and how He separated the waters above and below a solid egg shell like crust. The flood broke that shell and removed the land from the edges of cracked continents until they were individual pieces instead of a single surface. It also explains the physical events that happened during each period of the flood that the bible describes. Videos are on Bryan Nickel's channel.
