@@94ravindran Hey, thanks for reminding me. I did end up going through it. It’s a pretty easy practice physically (mostly). Hi, I have learnt surya kriya from a certified Isha teacher(independent) a while back. But I have an issue, when I bend down in padahastasana/uttanasana my lower back feels a load. So I am a little worried. Is it a part of the early sweet pains ? P.S.- The teacher said it is ok as long as there is no pain as I become flexible it will be fine
Namaskaram anna ,I have also recently been initiated in surya kriya ,but anna the yoga mat that I have on that hands keep slipping in the parvathasana ,plz tell me what kind of yoga mat you use 🙏🙏🙏
Namaskaram Saurabh, I do not use any yoga mats. If you wish to use one, there are plenty of them that you can choose from Isha Shoppe Canada. Go for a slight rough texture, so the hands doesn't slip. At the same time, do not go for too rough mat either.
I bought a rubber jute mat hoping to fix this same issue. Didn't work for me so I just rub vibhuti on my palms as a gymnast would with chalk to absorb excess moisture. Seems to work fine and I'm able to grip much easier to the mat. Hope this helps :)
It is very related question actually. Because I am able to keep my mind, body and emotion in a certain way, my sleep quota has reduced tremendously. Before I used too sleep 10-11 hours, now it's 5-6 hours. The practice also removes unnecessary metabolic activity so it shows down and system becomes friction free.
@@hemjoshitv8858 Another question for you my friend. I am about to get initiated on the 24th and wanted to know when did you see the changes in the reduction of sleep. At the forty day mandala? Right away?
I don't know if i should focus on my breathing or should i focus on my mental reaction to those sayings ( i am not the body.. i am not even the mind) I tried both and when i focus on my breath i seem to get more deep into meditative state but lose the attention to what i actually say to myself and what it means Can anyone help me
See for initial phases, it might be hard to do both. For now, focus of breathing and visualization. Establish yourself into it first for 6-7 months then slowly and naturally you will start responding to the sayings.
There is no saying in Surya kriya . Only visualization and breath pattern .. so not sure what is this saying (i am not the body and not the mind) and it's place in Surya kriya .. i was told by the teacher that there is no mentally thought saying
See I personally just do it super early in the morning whatever the situation might be. Even if you're traveling but you can take out 20 mins (average time for Surya kriya) for yourself. Anna Surya kriya is a Hatha yoga program so you can learn through a Hatha yoga teacher. It is not like Shambhavi Mahamudra kriya.

Both are powerful in their own way. I personally took yogasanas after shambhavi. I found my body was not having enough integrity, so I took it.
