I'm shocked they never sold a transforming toy. There appears to be a recent Hot Wheels toy of *just* the SPM form, but not a toy that transformed between modes when the show was still airing. IIRC, Kenner even had the toy rights at the time (putting out a line of "Knight 2000" toys, both vehicles and action figures), and Kenner was also doing MASK, a series about vehicles that transform from a normal form to a powered-up form, and a MASK-like KITT would have been perfect.
I love how Michael says ‘hit the EBS’ implying that Kitt should slow / stop the vehicle but that Michael then presses the ‘red button’ himself…😂 (Don’t get me wrong - loved the show!)

Super-Pursuit Mode provided a 40% boost in increased speed beyond the car's original top speed of 300 MPH. When Super-Pursuit Mode is used at night, some of the exterior and under the wheel arches glows red. This also includes an Emergency Braking System which slows KITT down from Super-Pursuit speeds, by using a forward braking booster and air panels that pops out to create air fraction (air brakes).
Yeah especially hoffs actor skills can be quiet funny now :D but I have to admit that he at least seems to play it like he really thinks he can talk to a car :D I couldn’t hide my embarrassment when I would have to act like this :D
does anyone remember an episode where kitt couldn't and didnt have drive and traction so had to turbo boost like a good few times, cant seem to find that scene anywhere
Reaching 268 mph and the estimated time to arrive only goes from 14 minutes to 8 minutes 20 seconds? That means he was going roughly 158 mph before pursuit mode.

Although I'm a great fan of Knight Rider. In the 4th & final season, I think they've ruined what is already a great car. However, I do like the convertible mode & the EBS mode but the Super pursuit mode is a little bit too much
