@Ktc her nose is different. I don't know if the doctor "built up" the sides or whether he flattened out the skin to each side of it but something has changed. I can't put my finger on it.

FIRST OF ALL, I wouldn't be so quick to minimize Zeta Jones, or her talent. This is a typical, splashy Hollywood headline, strictly to get the attention of morons. The fact is, she is aging, and albeit gracefully, the average age for a sexy leading lady to stay on top is roughly 5 years (there are those who have lasted far longer, but this is the norm). In my opinion, as a professional actor myself, I see her continuing to play leading ladies, just in more mature roles. Don't count her out.

I remember her very well but I won't speak of her as if she were dead, I usually do look forward to anything she is in. I just figured she took time to herself to get whatever she was going through together and decided she would do a movie every then and now or tv series. Besides, she and her husband are rich. They can stay in and watch netflix forever because they are set for the rest of their lives if they wanted to.

One possibility not offered, probably because it's so inconceivable for people who think that anything worthwhile and important has to involve being a Hollywood hotshot - maybe Catherine doesn't GIVE a shit about "coming back" or "turning it around." The same spirit that lay behind her refusing to be typecast as a particular type of packaged star or leading lady might well be behind a conscious decision to get away from Tinsel Town and actually have a real life and a real marriage. I suspect there's nothing packaged or artificial about the lady, and good for her.
DivineSimply im with you her priorities changed her career is not a big thing for her anymore like it happened with all the A list of her generation. All of them are almost retired.
The only 3 still activley working are Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Gwyneth does it for the thrill of the red carpet and thats ehy she is working with Marvel or doing cameos in the MCU.
Reese and Nicole are in a series which is a passion project for them but not so much because they badly want to be on the spotlight.
All the 90s actresses are almost gone its quite nostalgic thinking about them like it is thinking of the top models of the 90s like Naomi Campbell and cindy Crawford.
And i bet non of them is crying about it.
I think all are happy out of the spotlight.
Catherine is working once in a while but again she is doing it just as a hobby.

I have no idea why, but she is so beautiful. I wish she would play in better films... I have seen one of her films, I think it was called The Haunting, and it was one of the worst movies I ever saw, and that is incredible considering how amazing the original was. That said, the beauty of this amazing actress kept me from leaving the theater. That says a lot! She is indeed stunning!

People criticized her for playing Latina women. But something important to note, she is Welsh. The Welsh and the Spanish migrated together and married together A LOT for thousands of years. I understand Spanish is not considered “Latina” but she DOES share a very similar and close ancestry with Latina individuals. I’m my opinion, I don’t thing it is bad if she portrays Latina individuals in film. Btw, I’m Welsh AND Spanish. I’m friends with MANY Spanish speaking Americans, they are ALL from Latin countries, and they feel my argument is reasonable in her defense. Just saying :-) We’re all just people. Doesn’t matter what you identify with or look like, ALL humans come from Africa at the end of the day :-) Just remember that.

Honestly, I think it's just that she's getting old, like the rest of us.
It's a sad commentary that America thinks actresses over 40 are "getting old" and are therefore not bankable any longer. While in Europe older actresses thrive. For example, Isabelle Hubert who is now over 60 never stops working in films...and I mean she is always the leading lady in a film. And she is just one example.

Hollywood simply has less roles for women as they age. "IT GIRLS" disappear fast. Women can survive with side roles, but there's not a lot of lead roles. But if you're Denzel Washington, Bruce Willis, Liam Neeson, etc., they'll still give you leads in big budget ones
