She's just like an Idol at her school, and has to avoid showing any preference to a guy because of the commotion and shitshow that would bring. He knows this, and he is doing his best to avoid showing any real affection, or boyfriend vibes, to not cause her any problems.
I remember watching this every week when it was airing and squealing like a teenage girl every episode. Glad you're enjoying it as much as I did the first time!
gotta say that Mahiru is extremely pat-table, how can you not feel like it when she's that cute, Amane did a masterful job at restraining his hand (even tho some headpats might be in order soon, it seems like she could use some headpats).
Super cute tho, even his friends are cute, and there's no jerk in sight, this is the kind of anime to watch at the end of a bad workday to brighten your mood.
the only jerks showed up in this anime is shiina sayo, toujou in amane's backstory, and walmart ayanokouji

1:46 some people are are just good at First Aid. My sophomore year of highschool i was Red Cross certified in emergency first aid & CPR. It's something i always remember because around 60 students including me did the classes & took the state test. What madeit memorable was me and four girls i used to know got plaques & rewards for passing with some of the highest scores in the state and i got a thousand dollar scollership for getting a perfect score which i didn't like getting cause I'm an introvert and always hated be called up to get awards.

You have no idea the cost of a good quality whetstone. Upward of $100 roughly 16,000 - 17,000 yen. Maybe more now. There is also availability to consider. This generally puts it out of the "casual acquaintance" realm. He would have raised a major red flag with her for that. There are other reasons that will be revealed later in the series.

Afaik, korokke is a common and acceptable japanglish (japrench?) way to spell it in Japan
@@jangjangjangjong Here in Japan it’s reasonable to spell something in romaji for stylistic effect, but in that case it’s not the English or French translation, it’s just a transliteration.
I don’t think the spelling Korokke is that well known outside of Japan at all. And we have here one example already of it causing confusion.
Korokke is basically a Japanese dish now despite its French origins
