The most amazing thing about this soundtrack is that Antonio Pinto wrote it not knowing how the film would be structured: He wrote it purely from what he remembered about Senna, and that's what makes it so beautful.
Actually (and maybe by now you might know about this fact, so this reply has probably come a few years too late), according to Asif Kapadia, the director of "Senna", this track in specific was written shortly after Antonio Pinto's mother passed away - it could probably be one of the reasons why this track is called "A Morte" ("The Death"). Given the context of the life events that happened when this song was written, its title and its use in the moment where Ayrton had his fatal crash, in my opinion, it makes this track even more beautiful, but in a very chilling and poignant way.
“He looked serene. I raised his eyelids and it was clear from his pupils that he had a massive brain injury. We lifted him from the cockpit and laid him on the ground. As we did, he sighed and, although I am not religious, I felt his spirit depart at that moment'' Dr Sid Watkins
Ayrton Senna... The proof that only one man can change the world.. He was such a huge inspiration to people, that his departure is still shocking up to this day. No one forgets him, his impact was as big as Lady Diana's death.... Both of them gave their lifes to people, so sad to not see them again.... Imagine if we could see Senna waving the checkered flag or handing the trophy at Interlagos circuit in F1, the amount of cheers from brazilians he would get...... That image will stick in my mind forever..
There is no other soundtrack which suits this tragedy better and no other song which made me cry for someone I do not know at all who died two decades ago..

That morning, he asked God to talk to him. He opened the bible and read a passage. And God told him he was going to give him the best gift ever, God himself. RIP Senna.
Senna had doubts the night before about racing. And while many people believe that that passage meant God took Senna to him, I always found that to be quite selfish and simple from God. What if, the "God himself" was the non-fatal crash that happened right at the beginning of the race. Like a last sign for Senna to just not start that race after a horrible weekend. And yet he didn't stop. He did what he knew to do best and his car failed him. I think God gave him a sign and Senna probably felt something was off. But he continued anyway almost as if he thought "whatever happens, happens".
@@julianleft4662very interesting comment, never looked at it like that before. The first time I ever saw my father truly cry was at the end of this movie.Doesn't matter how big of a man you think you are, seeing that can make you ball your eyes out, and I did.

Senna was one of the best drivers in the world. I've inspired him, he's driving skills are just incredible. I was at the go karts last year and all I had in my mind was senna and on how he drives and one of his quotes "If you don't go for that gap, you're no longer a racing driver." So I practically had senna in my head and won the race.
"Ayrton não teve sorte, ele não sofreu nenhum arranhão, ele não teve nenhum osso quebrado. se aquela peça não tivesse se soltado ele voltaria caminhando para o paddock"

Ayrton Senna inspired my life and when things were bad and i wanted to end my life,Senna's inspiration stopped me,he made me realise that i had a great life ahead of me and when your in your darkest hour, there is always light at the end of the tunnel...Senna was my light and i want to thank him for everything he has done for me. RIP Ayrton Senna
Antonio Pinto was the perfect man to do the soundtrack for this documentary, all the songs are perfect and as for Ayrton Senna, it will take a lot of generations before someone like him will be born, an absolute genius in F1 and an absolute symbol for Brasil. Even today Ayrton Senna is moving and changing people.
I'm Brazilian when he died I wasn't born but in 1994 it was very sad and many famous people died including Ayrton Senna. I want to be a Formula 1 driver, that's a dream!!

I can only imagine the team seeing his car broken besides the track...desperately trying to reach him on the radio, hoping for a response that never came...I saw the same look on Haas team in Bahrain when Grojean's car exploded and the world feed dropped away. "Death takes the body. God takes the soul. Our minds holds the memories. Our hearts keep the love. Our faith lets us know we will meet (our love ones) again." Missing you so much 😢
And now, twenty years later, Jules Bianchi has suffered a similar fate. We'll miss you...
And Maria De Villota who was testing for Marussia F1, both died from freak collisions with support vehicles impacting their heads.
Lendas nunca morrem #SennaSempre
This song will always bring a tear to my eye, such emotion and such a beautiful ending sequence to the film.
Moving and Haunting song pays so much respect for the man
in life i have had many people who i have considered inspirations but only one man made a huge impact that i can call him my true inspiration. That man was Ayrton Senna. A true hero to us all. R.I.P Senna. You are still alive in the people that look up to you
SENNA!!!!!!!
25 years ago... the most horrible day... RIP Senna... legends never die in our hearts. ❤️
I can't hear this song without crying
Brings tears everytime i hear it ,, RIP Ayrton and every Motorsport driver/Rider
27 years without the greatest formula one driver that ever lived ayrton Senna
'Pure driving, pure racing, that makes me happy'
In my opinion Senna is the best film/documentary/biography ever made. And Antonio Pinto creates some of the most atmospheric music ever. Anyone who haven't seen the film should watch it. Watching this changes the way you think about motor racing.
Nada pode me separar do amor de Deus.
Nothing can separate me from the love of God.
Romans 8:38-39
+netsurferx1 Nada me puede separar del Amor de Dios.
In English : "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Senna is still alive … this kind of man never die ❤️
This can melt rocks man. Love you senna, always.
Master
we miss you so much Ayrton , but you are still alive in our hearts
❤
Ayrton Senna! O heroi brasileiro!
Legend ,perfectionist,
Struggled with perfection ,all or nothing guy ,no compromises.
Not happy giving 90 per cent ,wanted the full 100,
Superb man .Brasil was waiting for him to come home and sort there country out ...
He died doing wat he loved
Now 25 years has past since, Senna would have been 59 now, we all miss your actions to the less fortunate, Prost and the rest of the world miss you deeply, I miss you
This music makes me feel so heartbroken that day we lost a legendary racer but also a legendary human being he was and still is the absolute top of what a racing driver should be 🐐🙏🏽!!! Competitive, kind, humble,a warrior a true man who faced hid fears head on and always improving working hard may god be with him forever 🙏🏽❤🙏🏽💯💯
The first time I ever saw my father truly cry was at the end of this movie.Doesn't matter how big of a man you think you are, seeing that can make you ball your eyes out, and I did.
I watched it yesterday.Apart from showing what a great driver he was, which we all know,it really shows his character. he was really strong and you can almost see from his eyes the love he had for this life. a true inspiration to all of us. RIP Ayrton,we will never forget you.
+George Vorillas I was wondering how did you get Senna 'practically' in your head?
I just thought about him and go jarring reminded me of senna how he was when he started go karting
0:14 it's like Ayrton's soul leaving his body.
Infidel For me it sounds exactly the same 😔
That’s my favourite part of this piece of music and I wish the sound was used more but also not as it’s just so beautiful
This song struck deep when i heard it in the doc, The helicopter rising slowly gets me every time
"Ayrton não teve sorte, ele não sofreu nenhum arranhão, ele não teve nenhum osso quebrado. se aquela peça não tivesse se soltado ele voltaria caminhando para o paddock"
Best racing driver that has ever existed sad when i watched him pass away
Thanks for the memories Ayrton.
i cried when i first watched the movie and i still do.
The greatest driver the world has ever seen.
Any day of the week and twice on sundays.
Almost 20 years. From a young 14 year old racer, Senna is my hero, R.I.P Senna, and thank you for everything
I miss yuo Ayrton Senna😭. there will never be, as good a driver as, Ayrton Senna was.🥰❤️
i love senna
Aristocratic-looking man Senna of the speed of sound continues running in a heart. Forever
This gives me the thrills. I can feel his presence
Senna is and always will be the goat
This is the most poignant and beautiful track on the album.
It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it and am reminded of the manner of Senna's death.
RIP Ayrton.
I hope he can see that the world still loves him. NOTHING CAN SEPARATE YOU FROM THE LOVE OF GOD
I swear to myself: I think on him today, tomorrow, in a month, in a year, in a decade ... just to the last days of my life. I never watched him live on TV, i was too young, but since i watched the film and the stuff on youtube, he means everything to me! He s my life-role-model! See you in heaven, Ayrton!
A true masterpiece...matches perfect with my hero!
Champ we miss u! Greatest driver and a hero! SENNA ❤️
Senna truly believed in real competition. Hardcore competition at the edge of the limits, without ever being unfair. That's what made him so special. He is the true embodiment of ideal competitiveness. R. I. P.
Sometimes I think that only the bests and unics leaves us your legacy too soon...
RIP Always - Ayrton Senna Sempre.
26 years ago...RIP SENNA...legends never die
Senna was touched by god for sure. So a determinated personality, so modest and compassionate. He is a real prophet for me, not only because of his values and for what he lived for, but because he brought me near to god. Thank you and god bless you forever Champ.
I can only imagine the team seeing his car broken besides the track...desperately trying to reach him on the radio, hoping for a response that never came...I saw the same look on Haas team in Bahrain when Grojean's car exploded and the world feed dropped away. The feeling of relief was felt the world over. That had to be the longest 30 seconds ever...
My hero. My life was never the same.
When I began to admire and love Formula One I was 14 years old it was May 1, 1994 when Senna became a legend a few years ago when I saw this documentary of his for the first time I understood that his heart was in the right place I still mourn Ayrton today 🖤❤️🙏🏼
O maior piloto de todos os tempos! Saudades grande Ayrton Senna !!!!
*25 Years, We miss u Ayrton*
This piece. Is like the final scene in Toy Story3. Never fails to bring out the "Manly tears"
this is quite frankly some of the most moving music I've ever heard.
