I agree he's a little raw but the potential is ridiculous he's one of the few players that can go out there and not score a point and just be so valuable just so big and takes up so much space however he couldn't leave if he wants to and still make it in the NBA I think at this point he's better than Travis Knight ever was with UConn but he'd be better off staying and perfect his skills offensively.
I know everyone is just assuming he’s a lottery pick, but I don’t see his skills as being close to NBA ready yet. He’d benefit with another year. He needs to work on his shot and he needs to prove he can consistently move better. There’s a lot of good players out there and around the world. A lot of players leave too soon and never make it when, maybe, coming back helped them. UConn has a history of guys leaving too soon and falling on their face. People don’t realize how good you have to be just to make a roster. No Dis on Klingan. He’s a great college player, but he’s not NBA ready. Not even close. Same goes for Alex Karaban. If they leave too early, they might end up languishing in the G League.
I felt that way, but given his size I think playing against college teams that might have 1 pro talent, and being a head taller than most team’s biggest guy, I think he would grow more against NBA competition, and bigger stronger players
