LG V20 Bootloader Unlock Walkthrough (VS995/Verizon)

The LG V20 may go on record to be the single most consequential used mobile device of the year, but only for the determined. Today's video quickly and carefully breaks down the process, start-to-finish, to go from a fully-updated bone-stock LG V20 (VS995 or US996) to a bootloader-unlocked, rooted, V20, with MK2000 kernel and Alpha/Omega Rom.

1. runmefirst.bat. Leave this window open.

(6 and 7 must be done at the same time)

7. (on the device) Hold volume down and power button until LG emblem appears. Once it does, do not let go of volume-down, but let go of power for about a half a second, and then go back to holding it until the white screen comes up asking for a hard reset. Let go of all buttons when this happens.
Recommended Screen Calibration Profile:
Red - 256
Green - 241
Blue - 226
Minimum - 0
Saturation - 12
Value - 128
Contrast - 128
Hue - 0
Corrections:
1. On official bootloader unlocks. LG's website for official bootloader unlocks is slated to become unavailable after the end of 2021. Once that happens, this will become the only method for unlocking the bootloader on the US996 model.
2. In part 5, I mentioned that the MK2000 kernel causes issues for encryption. It is my understanding now that it is actually the rom, and not the kernel, that causes this. Either way, it still doesn't work.
