I had a brief look at the java version without any mods or anything and I was getting 1400+ fps. (4K, 20chunks) :D PS.: Gotta get a better fps overlay.

3080ti owner here - Can't wait to try this in 5 years when the 4090 has a decent price and upgrading from 1440p to 4K is worth it.
So, basically, finally we will be able to run Minecraft as it was definitely 100% not intended with realistic af textures and lighting. Lmao

Dude I totally understand Minecraft was not meant to run with Ray Tracing but it's so beautiful that all I wanna do is hop into a game with my console friends and enjoy some Ray Tracing - their console doesn't support it and mine does, and it's all just a texture & lighting difference.
I bought a gaming PC with a 3080 Ti & 5800X, but I have to enjoy the Ray Tracing games by myself because none of my other friends have gaming PC's. It's just the way it is, but is it insanely selfish of me to ask Mojang to enable Ray Tracing for PC's on the main game?
Honestly, I think it is photorealistic, the best realtime graphics I've ever seen in a 3D enviroment, if the shadows would've been a bit darker, it would've looked even better, like a picture (a really uncanny one because everything is made out of cubes).
Sky color and light during mornings and evenings gives new life to minecraft... beautiful

I like raytracing in stylized games and classic games far more than in modern games.
I hope they keep it under rains and not overdoo it. Will actually get an RTX card for minecraft, but not the 4090 😆 I like large render distances though, so I'll get a very powerful CPU and significant RAM, but probably the cheapest card that can handle it with RTX at 4K. What card would that be though? I'm hoping that a 4070 or even a 4060 is enough? 🤔 I haven't really looked into it yet.

PC. No console version has ray tracing or shader support. It’s just bedrock RTX
