Brazilian steakhouses are good places to bring your vegetarian friends. The salad bar is usually huge in size and variety and full of tasty non-meat stuff. And It is usually cheaper to get the food only from the salad bar.
"Fogo the chão" means ground fire. The name originates from the practice of roasting an bull ribs on the ground, surrounded by firewood, for about 6 hours. It’s a country tradition here in the south of Brazil.
We love it there! So much that we go at least every wedding anniversary, but we do go more often than that now that the Bellevue location is open. We traveled to the Portland location for anniversaries and went anytime we were down there. +1 on that bottom sirloin! Parmesan crusted pork loin and bacon wrapped chicken are my other favorites.
Also, brunch is the way to go! Cheaper, market table includes breakfast items (Brazilian style steak and rice dish is amazing), and the full churrasco experience is the same as dinner (I think)
I started going to the one 30 minutes from me and instantly addicted. I fully agree about the bottom round being the best. For me it's bottom, filet, top. Never tried waygu there
as a Brazilian, I've never heard of this restaurant, but glad to see you enjoy our food! ps: the way you say fogo de chão (that means ground fire, makes more sense in Portuguese) is absolutely beautiful.
Wow dude, I agree exactly with your taste. I love their sirloin. It's so juicy and flavorful and I love the sear. I also was underwhelmed by their filet and thought the picanha was even worse. But they have a lot of other cuts that are really good. Like parmesan crust chicken or pork. But yeah for beef I feel like sirloin is their best. Haven't tried their wagyu. I love this place though. Got my boss and his wife a $150 certificate for dinner here for Christmas.
Chao is "hello" in Vietnamese and it means "lord" in Thai. However Chão in Portuguese has a slight different sound (hence the accent over the a), and it means ground or floor. Fogo de Chão means literally "Fire from the Ground", which is the way they prepare the meat in the Brazilian countryside, digging a hole and setting it on fire.
loved the video, but id rlly like it if u could fix the audio levels between your narration and the footage in the restaurant. either way rlly fun video, and cant wait to see more uploads on here!
Amazing food but terrible customer service, as usual in Washington state, if you go to fogo de chão in Boston you’ll clearly see the difference, Boston is way more organized

I was at the one in Thousand Oaks near my home on a Sunday brunch. They serve different kinds of meat at my table. My favorite was lamb.
I see why you like this restaurant Chris!!! Great review.
Se não me engano essa churrascaria faz churrasco em churrasqueira a gás. O churrasco verdadeiro e feito na brasa, o gosto é incomparável!
They just opened a new one in Lynnwood :D
I started going to the one 30 minutes from me and instantly addicted. I fully agree about the bottom round being the best. For me it's bottom, filet, top. Never tried waygu there
How do you think the meat compares to Texas de Brazil?
as a Brazilian, I've never heard of this restaurant, but glad to see you enjoy our food!

I know Chao is an Asian name. Is this fusion cuisine?
Chão in Portuguese literally means ground.

They just open one in OKC
I like how he "bobble heads" right before he puts the meat in his mouth

either way rlly fun video, and cant wait to see more uploads on here!
4:27 that's because that was practically well done so there's no flavor. You gotta eat picanha either rare or very rare.
