What a thick squat of a tree. I love it. Your root work is on another level, brother. I’m looking forward to seeing your approach to developing branch structure. And what a great start today. Thank you for sharing and allowing me to live vicariously through your videos.
Thanks so much! Check your other comment; I had a question for you. Branch work is not my specialty, but I am confident that I can produce pretty good results.
Hey man, it took a little while, but I'm back and am uploading some new stuff! Hopefully it will whet your appetite until spring comes and you can work your own trees!
Definitely. I have experimented with different systems but I think I am going to use a regular sprinkler this year. But definitely use some sort of watering system because your raised beds will dry out a little more quickly than the ground around it.
@@smalltrees Thanks for the update. I still do appreciate the e-mail you sent in reference to details on growing beds. Your content is much appreciated!
It is, but I have never personally tried it. I prefer theead grafts because they are easy and I have a high success rate with them. An arch graft is similar to an approach graft, right?

I really appreciate that!
That's going to be a lovely broom!
I hope so! It would be neat to turn a very mediocre stump into something nice.
Your videos are amazing. Love your trees♡
Thank you so much! 💓
Can’t wait to see the pomegranate trees
They're coming soon! I want to work most of them at the same time so it will be either this weekend or next weekend probably.
I’m diggin the slingshot. Come a long way in a year
Oh yeah. It always has a future as an actual slingshot if doesn't make it as a tree haha.
That’s a good looking specimen. It’s certainly off to a great start. Thanks, keep growing
Thank you! It's getting some character for sure. Just needs a few more years
Beautiful tree 🌲! You have to be careful with the hole in the middle that there is no rot! Greetings Henryk
It has almost healed over but I will be sure to check for rot. Thank you!
@small trees Have a nice Sunday
You too!
Are you done on RUclips? Miss your vids
No, I promise I will be back with more videos. I am just a little busy with life right now. Thank you for the kind words though!
Foist and foremost post ;-)
Regarding to growing beds would you advise using a watering system?
Definitely. I have experimented with different systems but I think I am going to use a regular sprinkler this year. But definitely use some sort of watering system because your raised beds will dry out a little more quickly than the ground around it.
Where are you at, Bud?
I'm here, just been busy with life for a while! I'm hoping things calm down soon.

I'm always happy to help. Thank you very much for the kind words. Hopefully I can help justify them with more videos soon
Doing bonsai is a dirty job 😃, is it possible to auto graft a root, like an arch graft?
It is, but I have never personally tried it. I prefer theead grafts because they are easy and I have a high success rate with them. An arch graft is similar to an approach graft, right?
@@smalltrees I looked it up an came to the conclusion that I wanted to ask if you can thread graft roots, inarch grafting is a type of approach graft.
