In the kingdom of Mahishmati, while pursuing his love, Shivudu learns about the conflict ridden past of his family and his legacy. He must now prepare himself to face his newfound arch-enemy.
Baahubali: The Beginning is a 2015 Indian Telugu-language epic action film co-written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli, and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works. The film was produced in Tollywood and was filmed in both Telugu and Tamil languages simultaneously. It features Prabhas in a dual role alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj, and Nassar. The first of two cinematic parts, the film follows Sivudu, an adventurous young man who helps his love Avantika rescue Devasena, the former queen of Mahishmati who is now a prisoner under the tyrannical rule of king Bhallaladeva. The story concludes in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.

We are happy to finally drop part 2 of Baahubali! We are releasing this video now despite not being able to monetize it due to copyright issues. We felt extremely pressured by all of the comments to drop these as fast as we can, and we lose subscribers when we do not meet the rigid post recommendations. We had Hurricane Idalia hit our home state and our editor (Christian) had a lot of hurdles to jump through to get this out today. Even though we will make no money on this reaction we felt that we needed to get this out to you today. In the future, your patience would be very much appreciated. Bros reading your comment made me realise that you guys are taking people way too seriously! Understand that Indians can be a bit pushy but also are very understanding & accomodating, it's a culture thing. Most are very friendly & emotional and they feel connected to the reactors ass a friend and thus can also be nagging BUT you do not have take everybody's opinion that seriously, even they don't say it from a very sseriouss perspective. @@brosnshows A (sort of ) statue of Shiva is represented in the earlier part of the film when Mahendra is a young man and trying to climb the mountain. Remember when his adopted mother Sanga is pouring water over the lingam and offering prayers, and Mahendra (then known as Shivudu) breaks it out of the ground and takes it to the waterfall so it will be showered continuously. That icon is called a Shiva Linga or sometimes Shivling and is used to offer prayers to Shiva by pouring liquid over it. (If you like these movies, you should deffo look into Indian epics like the Mahabharata and the Ramayana to get some history/reference. It will make your appreciation of them much richer, IMO.)

The statue you see before the war is Durga matha. She is like mother goddess. They take her blessings for attaining victory

Here, the statue is of one of the goddesses . Her name is Kali. Kali means both time and dark or black. Her statue here on the battlefield has a huge significance. As she is a more fierce and angrier version of Durga(also a goddess) . Kali wears the heads of demons she has slayed as a garland. And drink their blood as each drop of the blood replicates a new demon. She is unstoppable. As she is a manifestation of goddess Durga who is a manifestation of goddess Parvati who is shiva's wife. Therefore, Kali is the wife of Shiva .
I love someone finally made an effort to actually look up the family tree instead of just assuming things and pretending they get what's going on even though they don't. The word Baahu means Hand and Bala means Strength. So Baahubali means "The one with strong hands". That showcases the insane strength of the main character.
Before 50 years the two Prince VikramDeva ( Shiva's grandfather) who was king and died recently and his elder brother bijjaldeva(crippled guy) was not crowned because of his evil mind but he thinks because of his crippling he was not crowned.

The song when he lifts the giant shiva idol is from a ancient sanskrit hymn representing another huge mythological character lifting a shiva 's mountain for the sake of his mother
And song when he makes his jump to cliff of mountain is also a sanskrit hymn of other important character ( Hanuman) remembering his forgotten powers and makes the jump to cross the see .
Imagine how people in India had to wait nearly 2 years to know the answer to "why katappa killed bahubhali"

Characters like Kattapa are defined as grey characters. Grey character mean doing the evil, unimaginable things suddenly to a person despite being loyal to that person. Director loved the grey character concept and created this savage Kattapa

Just a sidenote- maybe others have mentioned this- but the reason there are no subs for the Kalakeyas is cuz that language was invented for the film. (It's funny that you kept mentioning the Dothrakis, as that is another language created for the project it's featured in.) I believe Rajamouli wanted to keep the audience "outside" of the Kalakeyas, so he chose not to put subs, but these films became so successful that the language (called Kiliki) actually became sort of popular, like Klingon, and now there are sites dedicated to it.

RRR is just a peanut before Bahubali.. It's the only film from india to have payed with live archestra that too in royal Albert hall that too 2 times.. With no of re releases.
Prabhas got 2 wax statues for this character to which he spent 5years with undergoing multiple surgies.
SSR specially asked his father to write a story for prabhas and that is Bahubali.
Generally director narrates story to heroes and hero will be doing it.. But here director wrote a story to this hero ❤🥰

Did you guys not see her feminine shape of the statue🤣? In Hinduism masculine and feminine parts/avatars are equal and worshipped equally unlike Abrahamic religions.

For the guys in the right, 55:52 Its a long movie divided into 2 parts so its perfect ending also for a high budget movie like this its imp to make sure people watch the second part too right. Thats cliff hanger right there in the movie end kept Indian audiences hungry for part 2 for two years, Bcz of that cliff hanger, Bahubali part 2 is tthe 2nd highest gross box office collected movie in India.
