An interesting history and description of the people's attitude toward those without the mark. Satan has so deceived the world that most Christians hold the mark in high esteem. Learn what I mean. It's both. Of course, it's who you worship and based on that those who cooperate with the Antichrist will try to mark physically as many who will not follow the Antichrist as possible.

He’s right. The early church fathers wrote about having to light incense to Caesar, to buy and sell in the marketplace. Seems innocent to light incense, but it’s not - it’s a worshipping false gods. They blamed anything bad on the ones who didn’t worship Caesar.
