Yes Rob (glasses & beard) studied opera in college, but when Austin approached him about this project, he told Austin he hadn't really sung opera in 15 years but he'd give it a try...I think they succeeded 😉👍👌

Austin did have a little opera training in college as well, but his training was more or less just a touch of it. Now Rob, as you mentioned, he went all in with his opera training, he is truly is classically opera trained.
@@aaronz9410 He went to Oklahoma City University which is well known for amazing arts. Kristin Chenoweth is a graduate of OCU as well. I graduated from there too (law school :) )
I remember reading that he agreed to it to honor his father.

The first singer is Rob Lundquist. He is being featured on Austin’s RUclips channel. I love that Austin can feature his bandmate on his channel and let him shine! The sing together in Home Free and Austin had to convince Rob to do this song since Rob’s opera training was over 15 ago.

Rob and Chance are my favorite HF leads. When I heard this, I must have replayed it dozens of times, and I still need to hear it. Rob blew me away: the beauty of his voice raised goosebumps and induced tears of joy. I would love it if Rob would do an opera album. His tone is so warm, rich, and powerful. Austin did well, but the difference between opera and classical crossover is apparent, and I just prefer Rob’s opera training.

Jimmy Barnes is a Legend here in Australia he is a Scottish born Australian and has a lot of power and a unique voice. Joe Bonamassa is a blues guitarist from America. Rob has operatic training. Austin is musical theater trained. The differences are noticeable.
