  • I am building my first quadcopter and this my first test flight of the quad! I am really happy with this first flight - it should only get better from here.
    This project has been sponsored by HeadUp RC (I approached them about this project as this is a company that I have had good experiences with! They get my highest recommendation).
    Frame: Tarot 450mm
    Motors: PowerUp Slofly 400 930 kV 50 gram

    Propellor: 9 x 4.7 APC regular and pusher

    Good idea about the ESC's! If I have a heat issue I will definitely switch

    Looks good. I just built an SK450 which is about the same. But I put my ESCs on top to get cooling from the props. Most people seem to go as you though and hide them on the bottom.

    It does have some weight to it! When I am learning I am hoping that the weight will give me some stability - but moving forward I may have to make my own frame!

    i got the same frame and its fairly heavy i recoment making it from lite wood...

    Looking good.. bump the P I Ds up just a bit seems a little loose.. but other than that great job clean build congrats :)
