Hey Brian, Thanks! I actually have a great bit of advice that was taught to me by my classical piano teacher. She always wanted me to work towards developing a "singing tone" when playing at the piano. Singing along , even if in just your head, is an essential part of creating the proper dynamics (volume) between the notes.
That was beautiful Michael. I absolutely loved singing along with your cover. Loved that you were smiling while playing, it could be heard in your playing :D

Thunder Road
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band
The screen door slams, Mary's dress sways
Like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays
Roy Orbison's singing for the lonely
Hey, that's me and I want you only
Don't turn me home again
I just can't face myself alone again
Don't run back inside, darling
You know just what I'm here for
So you're scared and you're thinking
That maybe we ain't that young anymore
Show a little faith, there's magic in the night
You ain't a beauty, but hey, you're alright
Oh, and that's alright with me
You can hide 'neath your covers and study your pain
Make crosses from your lovers, throw roses in the rain
Waste your summer praying in vain
For a savior to rise from these streets
Well now, I'm no hero, that's understood
All the redemption I can offer, girl, is beneath this dirty hood
With a chance to make it good somehow
Hey, what else can we do now?
Except roll down the window
And let the wind blow back your hair
Well, the night's busting open
These two lanes will take us anywhere
We got one last chance to make it real
To trade in these wings on some wheels
Climb in back, heaven's waiting down on the tracks
Oh, come take my hand
We're riding out tonight to case the promised land
Oh, Thunder Road, oh, Thunder Road
Oh, Thunder Road
Lying out there like a killer in the sun
Hey, I know it's late, we can make it if we run
Oh, Thunder Road, sit tight
Take hold, Thunder Road
Well, I got this guitar and I've learned how to make it talk
And my car's out back if you're ready to take that long walk
From your front porch to my front seat
The door's open but the ride ain't free
And I know you're lonely for words that I ain't spoken
Tonight we'll be free, all the promises will be broken
There were ghosts in the eyes of all the boys you sent away
They haunt this dusty beach road
In the skeleton frames of burned out Chevrolets
They scream your name at night in the street
Your graduation gown lies in rags at their feet
And in the lonely cool before dawn
You hear their engines roaring on
When you get to the porch they're gone on the wind
So Mary, climb in
It's a town full of losers
I'm pulling out of here to win

Hi Kristin! Congratulation on your upcoming wedding! I'd be honored to share my recording for your wedding at no cost. Use the contact form on my website (michaelarrom.com) to securely share your email.
Yes yes yes, anonymous person playing Godlike piano. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Lol, thanks for the comment! To be clear, though, you do have my name (Michael Arrom). I'm certainly not widely known. I'm more of a cleverly concealed secret ;)
You are a true God on Piano. I mean that. Roy Bittan could retire tomorrow from the E Street band and you would undoubtedly be able to take over.
Would love to see a Backstreets cover
Thank you for your kind comment! I wish Roy much health and a very long career. Then again, if he needs a little help, I wouldn't mind getting the call :)
@@michaelarrom94 You'd be great!
Thanks for the vote of confidence! I’ll put Backstreets on my to do list :)
Your Backstreets cover is now up on my channel! Thanks for the request :)
@@michaelarrom94 you are the absolute man. Thank you so much
sheet music? Id love to play this!
Sorry, played by ear and don't have any. Good luck!
👏👏👏🍻
Thanks, Tom!
I get the you don't have sheet music and so on, but if you broke this down as a lesson and explained a bit, people would pony up $ to learn it. Any thoughts to a teaching channel?
Hey Dennis, thanks for your comment! So many great ideas and so little time. I spend about 15% of my time teaching. "Doing" and teaching are both important and complement each other. I need to do both and the 15/85 balance is about right for this point in my career. Check out Shawn Cheek's channel for a nice tutorial of my Jungleland arrangement.
@@michaelarrom94 you got it, I understand. How about "doing" another Bruce when time allows? How about Candy's Room?
@@dennis-1983 Soon! I'm headed to the east coast tomorrow. First a radio promo visit on Z100 in NYC then a quick swing down to Miami to help present a Latin Grammy Scholarship. At the end of all that, I'll be spending a few days with my family in NJ before heading back to LA to teach at USC. The family piano is tuned and my dad's camera batteries are charged :) I'm kinda leaning to Backstreets this time, but I haven't decided yet. Candy's Room is a great song!
