Thank you for the suggestion. I will look into it. Although I had not attempted (seriously) to learn to play an instrument until my retirement I've (finally) found a very good teacher who is tolerant of my impatience with "mere" exercises (I do some) and helps me break favorite, short pieces that I love into manageable, parts. I'm getting close to being able to recognizably play some short Tom Waits pieces, but I there are many Springsteen pieces that I'd love to do to (I think Roy Bittan's piano that underlies many of these may be a big part of it). Michael, brilliant arrangement and performance. I love the shades of gospel you have added in there as well. I have been playing piano for most of my life and have always wanted to learn Jungleland and Thunder Road, when I saw your 2 videos a year back you inspired me to learn the songs and now I nearly have them nailed, not to your performance level, but pretty good for me :-) My Yamaha C5 is so happy it gets played nearly every day again. Thankyou.
Hey Craig! Thanks so much for your comment. I'm honored to help inspire you to play :) Be proud of your result, music never needs to be perfect! Yes, Bruce is a gospel preacher of sorts and that definitely comes across in his music. The C5 is a great piano and really shines on 70's rock music. The "I Can't Make You Love Me" cover on my page was recorded on a historic C3 at Shorefire Studios in Long Branch, NJ. It's the piano that Roy Bittan used on Meat Loaf's, "Bat Out of Hell" album. I wish you many happy sessions at your piano!

Absolutely spectacular dude! Enjoyed it every last note.
Hi John, so glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the support!
Amazing, quite incredible, great job. Had my first piano lesson yesterday - Jungleland is one of the reasons I wanted to start playing. One day!
Hi Chris, thanks for the comment. Congratulations on your first piano lesson! I'm sure you'll get to Jungleland if you take the time to enjoy each step along the way.
No wonder my piano teacher says I'm not ready for this song yet😅 good job man!!!!
Thanks for the comment! I know how you feel. It's hard to stick to the drills and exercises when all you want to do is play great songs. Hang in there, use that love to keep yourself motivated!
Your piano teacher probably doesn't know it either
Absolutely perfect. You're awesome. I was singing the outro as if I was at a Bruce concert.
Thank you so much, I'm happy that you were inspired to sing along!
this song brought me to tears a couple nights ago. it was clarence’s solo that got me. and you played it amazingly well. thank you.
Thanks for your comment. I miss the Big Man too. I got to see him on stage with Bruce and their friendship was such a special part of the show.
Great job you made me feel younger when i passed my time with bruce's music. The Best cover i Ever listened on you tube.
Thank you, Andrea! I hope the song made you happy.
Well done Dr. You differently put your soul into this amazing piece of art. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Thanks, Michael!
What an amazing why to listen to this song. I never heard it done like this before. I enjoyed it very much. You are a fantastic piano player Great job. Am a 64 year old man I grew up in north Philly in the 60s 70s. A teenager living in Philadelphia pa. I was lucky to have lived in a city and being a teenager at that time and place. I saw all the big rock bands. So I have listened to Bruce Springsteen my whole life saw him 4 times. Saw THE WHO 5 TIME'S. Sir this piano playing you did truly is fantastic. Great job.
Thank you so much for your kind comment! I'm still in my 20's, but I appreciate much of the same music. I've seen Bruce 3 times and I did get to see The Who once :)
@@michaelarrom94 Mike if you are good am going to let you know. And Mike you are an amazing piano player. Have you ever checked out Billy Joel. He is the piano man I used to listen to him everyday and night back in the 70s. And Mike dude you have great taste for music.
@@JimWelsh-f6l Hi Jim, Thanks for sharing the good word about Billy Joel. It's surprising that there are young people who don't know anything about him. Lol, I'm not one of them ;) Billy was one of my earliest inspirations to study piano. His musical director is one of my closest mentors. Check out the rest of my page for a few other Billy covers...

Michael, I am listening again to this so well played "cover" and I wish to go to the Hollywood Bowl or the Greek Theater here in Los Angeles and hear/see YOU there. It would be an unforgettable experience. I wish it knowing I may not be around another decade and could that happen even!?! If wishes were...! To see piano notes descend to the heavens. If wishes were..
You're very sweet and I would be honored to play for you someday!
Michael Everett , I wish you the best! Keep playing no matter what and may the universe grace you further..on your journey. :-)
Hi Sharon, I hope you're well! I just saw your comment again and wanted to let you know that I DID make it to the Hollywood Bowl. I played at last year's Playboy Jazz Festival on June 10, 2019. Thanks for your good wishes! Sending them all back to you :)

Amazing rendition of a modern day masterpiece on the piano. Love how you handled the Sax solo. Springsteen will live forever through musicians like you!
Hi Dennis, Thanks for your comment! I really miss Clarence, so glad I got to see him play before he passed.
There's a cover band that pays him a great tribute.
