- Patti Serrano, one of the architects of our sport's early days, discusses the creation of the BIA competitive tour as well as her insatiable appetite for self-growth and improvement and where that has led her in life, including how it has all circled back to bodyboarding and her relationship with bodyboard inventor Tom Morey.

Best interview ever. I could listen to Patty all day long 😂
She is an amazing storyteller!
I'm blessed to have had Patti in my my life when she moved to my home town of Pueblo! So full of energy, knowledge, gutZ, heart and skills - AND she's still going strong! Well done Patti! She IS the Real Deal so thanks for this interview Jay! LOVED IT!
Really appreciate Patti and all the fun I had with the BIM crew.
It 's z really pleasure to listen Patti and Jay, very interesting stories, and the energy that emerged. We can feel the passion of the bodyboard that you have, and of all the people who' s around that. Thanks for this moment.
Just a little comment, you talk too fast, not easy to understand for a Frenchy who's speaking English ( American?) a little bit 😂
Fortunately, there's subtitles 😁
(I don't understand why they shut the Beaches during lockdown either, sure, travelling distance was out, but if you were right there..)
Anyway, one question persists, considering how Tom (obviously) felt about the Boogie, what was his motivation to sell in '77?

First answer - in California, our county in San Diego were cautious about people assembling anywhere. So the beaches were off-limits. Second answer - Tom needed the money to build all the orders and in many companies that are under-capitalized this is what has to happen. Thanks for asking.
Patti is truly an incredible individual and has lived such a cool life! We’re lucky to have her in the sport of BOOG.
Great pair of episodes interviewing an interesting lady. An inspiration to get out, try everything and maximize living!
Patti, it's so good to hear your stories about your life and the huge impact you had on the sport of bodyboarding.
Cool!
